caller has called my cell several times, leaves no message.

I routinely get phone calls from 1-877-800-0609, with "out of area" displayed on my caller ID. No message ever left by this number and they continually hang up. Who is this caller?

I just read on whocallsme.com, that this caller is National City Mortgage offering re-finance deals.

National City Bank, including its mortgage division was bought by PNC Bank about 5 years ago. The name National City Bank including National City Mortgage was retired in 2010. I know because my National City accounts, including my mortgage account, were all converted. New numbers, new contact information, everything "PNC" for about 4 years.

I'd be careful about this caller, not even confirming my name. If I want mortgage info I know how to reach them securely. Cold calls, IMHO, are 98% scammers. May a special place in hell be reserved for them and their employees.

Ya same thing I have PNC and this is the first one of these I got did not answer but most likely scam bullcrap. Disregard. And people get it thru your head these callers do not have to follow the DNC list there illegal in the first place wtf do there care bout a list?

This was odd. The phone no. and request to take the call showed up on my tv screen. My TV and phone are on the same account. This is the first time this has happened

Phone rings, caller id shows #, no one answers.
I do not have a mortgage nor do I know who PNC bank is.
I receive calls from scammers 2-3 times daily.
Getting rid of phones is the only answer!

We do have our mortgage with PNC. I did not answer. They left a message for my husband and myself(they knew our names) and they stated our current interest rate and asked that we call back to go over re-fi options.
