So we've gotten two "Medical Insurance" offers in one day from different "800" numbers.  Calling to have the number removed never works -- they seem to just keep changing the number they're calling from.  They list fax-stop.com for removal of your number.  Riiiiight.  We're also getting them that list nationaldonotfaxlist.com and fax-halt.com.  Are any of these legit?

I was getting faxes too in the wee hours of the night. I subscribed to the http://www.nationaldonotfaxlist.org web site and I have not been receiveing half the junk faxes I was before. I was looking today and they have had almost 40,000 people register their fax number. Looks legit to me.

This call came into home @ 6:15 am Sunday. I will try to find out who did this and they will get a ear full!!! I hope for your sake this is legal or get ready to be in court.

We recieved a fax advertisement for insurance which we did not ask for. We do not want to recieve any more of these solicitation faxes, as it waste the ink rolls and is costly to our company. At the bottom of the page it states " To Unsubscribe, Please Register your Fax Number At:www.NationalDoNotFaxList.org" . There is no such sight. I found this number listed above to report these kinds of calls/faxes and that is why I am sending this. I hope you can stop unwanted solicitations. The fax number they list for there company is (516) 213-3447. They do not list a company name. This tells me they are scammers.

I went back and clicked on the email address in my previous letter to you, for the nationaldonotfaxlist.org and I reached their websight and I added my comp[any fax number to their list of faxes not to call. Thank You. I hope this works.

This was a fax sent to me,about PPO Insurance plans.

A "whois" check for the "NationalDoNotFaxList.org" shows it was just created 9/8/2009. To put it mildly, I don't trust it. Strikes me that it's illegal to not list ANY company name - only a company fax, 201-402-6814; I haven't done a reverse directory check on this. As this unidentified company clearly has no "prior relationship," this solicitation has to be illegal. I'm reporting the fax number - as it's the only identifier on their message - to the FTC.

These [***] faxed me at 3:00 AM. This is an unwanted fax and a waste of my time paper and ink. My home is also my business and I don`t like being woks up at three in the morning with a bunch of crap like this. What I do - since I have a high speed fax machine - is send them about 20 to 30 copies of a fax telling them what they are doing is illegal.  Nice to use their ink and paper for a change.  OF Course this is only if they give me a fax number.

The problem with your link is that it goes to .com and not .org....

There is a way to stop unwanted faxes to your home or business.
You can file an FCC complaint. just go to the FCC web site and follow the
instructions. My recommendation is to keep the faxes
in a file. They should include date,time, and phone numbers on the fax. Also be sure to have
the date, and time you requested to be removed from their fax list.
Its against the law for them to not remove you from the mail list, and can result in financial penalties. I have filed with the FCC five or six times
and have reduced my junk faxes 90%. Good luck
