threatenening message from a process sever who could barley speak,

Someone called my house posing as an attorney with a civil case number in reference to my daughter who is married and has not lived with me for over 10 years.......Wish they would look up her husband and harrass him!!!!!

Just got a call from a "county court clerk" asking me to call this number asap due to time matter.  Very urgent.  Gave me case number as well.  I am glad I am not that stupid (yet!)...

"Katie Stewart" left a msg on my voicemail saying I was going to be served papers either at home or my workplace today. Funny thing, I'm at neither location today - if they were indeed planning on coming. Which I was pretty sure they weren't. I called back the number, and they took the file number that "Katie" left on my voicemail. then transferred me... this is after I asked where I was calling, and the guy mumbled some name twice.... then he forwarded the call to Craig Foster, who put me on hold to "go pull my hard file"... when he came back he informed me he believed I was called to discuss a credit card that was opened and last payment was Sept 2000.  12 years ago.... when I clarified when the last payment was, I said, so this is from 12 years ago??? and he says, "yes" - like he had a valid reason, and a leg to stand on in attempting this debt when had well exceeded its statute of limitations, esp considering my state's statute of limitations is 3 years. Furthermore, it just so happens, I pulled my credit last week, and this particular account is not on it. Actually, if memory serves me correctly it was on the previous one I pulled over a year ago, either.  ... yeah, good luck with that. For me to pay that now would pull my credit score down- not gonna happen. I was young and irresponsible, and i paid for it for 7 years, I won't be adding anymore. :/

Just got a call from a man posing as a clerk of the county court. He provided a case number and said that my son needed to call this number a.s.a.p. regarding a summons............interesting. A summons from our local court in town? We do not have a local court in our town............busted!!!! He said the information was sealed and protected by Federal law. Sounds pretty convincing..................NOT. Any civil action filed with the courts is public record. What a bozo.

I just got the same call!! Told me to call the law office NOW and they won't serve me. Gave me a case number. Is this a scam??? I don't dare call the number. What is this about???
