Hey!  If you google for the address 2401 Hewitt Avenue, EVERETT WA 98201 then you find out that this is the home of not just Legacy Telemarketing but also the real home of the "Brest Cancer Prevention Fund".  (Apparently it is NOT in Texas, despite what the prior poster said.)

Based on this report, I'd have to guess that this is most probably an out-and-out "charity" scam. The perps probably give a nickel out of every dollar they collect to some real breast cancer charity, and then keep the other 95% of the money they screw out of people for "administrative expenses".

Sadly, this kind of thing is perfectly legal.

Got a call last night from the number. Came up on caller ID as Out of Area. The caller was female and started talking about mammograms, women's health etc. Then called me by name. I asked why she was telling me all this since I am not a female and she became very indignant. Then she said she wanted a donation from me for some type of breast cancer research. I told her no way and hung up. I would expect a ligitimate charity to show up on caller ID, not an Out of Area toll free number. These clowns are really hurting charities that are legitimate. It is a shame that this can't be stopped.

Several calls a day received for some time now.  Very annoying.

This made my night.  thanks for the added humor for this not so pleasant phone harassment,  I received a call at 8:45 pm from these idiots - and they think I am going to fork over money - really starting to wonder what's the point in even having a phone line - I just need DSL for the internet.

I just got a call from this number. It showed up as 877.810.8267. They left a voice mail that sounded incomplete. They mentioned having programs that could be of value to me and to call back at 844.762.2142. and gave me their availability times. I'm not calling it back.

Got a call at 10:30 this morn where they left the voice mail about programs being available and I should call back to 844-762-2142.  It is Independence Blue Cross who is my insurance company talking about programs for breast cancer prevention.
