- DarleneSaid he was a Court Processor for the state I live in. Has called SEVERAL times with the treat of serving Court Summons, but has NEVER appeard to serve papers. Calls my work number and my person home (cell phone) number.
According to my attorney, he said not to call the number to obtain additional information. This number will be reported with my state's Attorney General. I have several online payday loan entities reported with the AG already. I'm assuming that is what this 877 number is associated with as well.- Caller: Unknown

- Jaycee| 1 replyMy caller ID identifies the incoming number as 484 895-1233; caller requests I return any calls to him at 877 812-5808. Caller said my 'IP' address had been compromised and that blackmarket DVDs, music, porn were being sold under my id. Sold me Microsoft Security; requested control of my keyboard to install Microsoft and deleted my Kaspersky security program, said I didn't need Kaspersky. Requested credit card to pay for it; called back next day and said credit card was no good, asked for another card. Call was cut off and he didn't call back. Third day called again and asked for control of my keyboard; fortunately my internet service went down. Caller got angry and said I needed to get my service fixed so he could access my computer again; told him I wold call Verizon but since it was the weekend, Verizon would not make service call until Monday. He asked that I call him again when I had internet service. Caller tried calling again Monday morning; did not answer. Cancelled my credit card; uninstalled the Microsoft and reinstalled Kaspersky security.

- Slim replies to JayceeYou may have been subjected to something like scam #3, as described at
http://phonehelp.2truth.com/facts.html
That site also shows how other 800notes visitors have reduced the number of telephone scams and telemarketing calls they receive. (Links to Amazon's phone blocker devices and apps, as well as government reporting sites are also provided).
Since you gave the scammer access to your computer, they may have stolen your contacts list and any personal information on the computer, as well as inserted code to make your computer a "zombie". Strongly suggest you bring your computer, and your orignal installation disk to a local computer repair shop! Also, change your passwords on all accounts, NOW, and again, after the shop works on your computer. - GretchenMy Chrome browser is being stopped by a page that says it's Microsoft and that my computer has alerted them to a virus and that my Facebook login, email login, and my credit card info is being stolen. It gives me this number to call within the next 5 minutes to avoid my computer being locked. Unfortunately I can't seem to get this page to go away. Like hell am I going to call some unknown number and give them info!
- Frances| 1 replyFire fox stopped just as Gretchen. Gave NO information. Shut down computer and restarted. Am I still on danger?
- Caller: Microsoft
- BigA replies to FrancesProbably not. I would suggest you get some addons for that browser at Mozilla's site. Since I can't specifically tell you which ones I am talking about, I have to do it this way. You need something that will block ads (plus or better), and something that will block Ghosts (you'll understand what I mean when you see the name). Look under Security and Privacy.
