Received text from idiot stating my bank had just accepted a payment of $460.99 at Dollar Tree on 4/18.  If it is incorrect, I should "RING +1 (877).812.9077."  They must think everyone is as dumb as they are!

BofA Payment Accepted for $404.18 at DICK'S Sporting Goods on 04/18. Was this you? IF NO RING 877.812.9077

BofA Payment Accepted for $530.50 at Petco on 04/18. Was this you? IF NO RING 877.812.9077

Call back gets, "Welcome to Bank of America.  For your security we continually monitor your account.  Please hold while I connect you.  Your call may be recorded for quality assurance."  I asked the agent how I can be sure this isn't a scammer calling?  He said call the number on your debit or credit card and ask to be transfered to this number.  Here's the important point:  ANY number can be spoofed, even a legitimate BOA number so don't automatically trust the call but don't ignore it either.  If you assume this is a scam call and it isn't, the scammers "win" because you've ignored a possible fraud alert.  So call the number on your card or go to your account online and check.

Text message from b of a saying my payment received to advance auto parts for 197.07 and don't even bank with them,,scammers

Same exact situation received a text stating BofA accepted a payment of $475. I do not bank with them. And to ring 877-812-9077
