Call from out of the blue. Says she is from an attorney's office or the "Treasury Department". Wants me to call back right away.

I'm constantly amazed at the scumbags that run these scams.

they were a lawyer firm trying to collect on a Laon.

Obama campaign fund raisers using autodial to flood the AT&T 'do not call' system.

1.  Do not call is a federal program and At&T doesn't have legal ability to circumvent it

2.  Alledged debt collectors don't have much above Obama telemarket morons to make calls; if they
    do respond they give out third party privacy information; ie. middle names, dates of birth

3.  They allege to represent Chase, Discovery or Sam's which is an outright lie; debt collectors buy
    these notes and are the 'legal holders'

4.  At&T sells 'live numbers' in block to these people while coercing the elderly into 'private lines' or '
    unlisted numbers; when confronted, they play dumb


Seems people are being forced into using cell phones doesn't it? They're less expensive to operate than infrastructure unless you're on the farm or suburbs.

When you get the calls, keep posting; eventually someone will start a class action lawsuit

Hey, thanks for the info, I moved, and the VA sent the debt letter to my old address, which is where my "X" lived, and didn't forward the mail.
Do you have an address or contact number where I can go direct with them, and settle this?

calls no message

Had a missed call while I was at work no message, just about a min of slience. Have a new number its not listed or does any one have it besides few select people. So why would a government collection agency not leave a message, so I can solve the debt or I can notify them of a wrong number?  Ive been left messages by agencys b4 why is this one so wierd and secretive? I'm really confused on this company.

I received a call from this number.  The caller had a foreign accent which was difficult to understand.  Represented herself as calling from a law firm that was representing the US Government concerning a debt owed.  Would not give me any further information concerning the nature of the debt.    Had the wrong middle initial and the wrong last 4 digits of my social security number.

I do recommend you check your debt with DFAS by calling them directly. I am experiencing a problem with this firm where they had a granisment instituted on my pay check however my debt with all federal agencies have been paid off for over 2 months so I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against this pca for the amount they have garnished and not reported to DFAS. When I contacted DFAS this PCA had only reported $138.00 to DFAS but have collected over 1200 out of my checks and this is after my debt was already paid in full.
