who is calling from this number?

I just received a call from this # saying it was Citibank and that I better call them immediately to discuss my overdue account with them and what to do about it.  Bogus.

Just got a call, felt panicked, but checked my online with the bank and my  payments have all been made.  Not sure if I should call back, but I'm not giving any info over the phone.  I'll call the number on my statement.

I received a phone call from this number.  It was an automated voice saying something about my mortgage.  It sounded just like the teleprompt for the regular Citi Mortgage and I was so anxious that I put in my social.  I can't believe I friggin did that!!!!  All it did was tell me my next payment date.  I am on the phone with Citi right now.

got a call this evening came up as one number and gave the above told me to call about important things with my mortgage ....
im not calling my payments are all made and ontime ....no need for them to call me unless they are selling something or its a scam ...

Got a phone message on Sunday afternoon from this number.  The female voice (a recording) urged me to call as soon as possible regarding my mortgage with Citimortgage.  Undoubtedly an unwanted solicitation to sell me something like mortgage insurance!

The date of the call was June 8, 2008.

The number is from CitiMortgage. They start calling you if they don't receive your payment by the first of the month. When you call it's usually a clueless csr that picks up, usually from India. I was told Citibank started this a few months ago because of the subprime mortgage meltdown. They consider you "late" if they don't get the payment on the 1st but you do have the fifteen day grace period to pay it. I gave them a piece of my mind when I called. I wouldn't bother calling them back, it's pointless.

I got one too, on November 15. I didn't call back, I checked my account online and everything is fine. Beware of "posters" that say it's legit, they are often part of the scam.

Left message.  Called.  System asks for Account Number or SSN.  If you say operator it just disconnects you from the system.  You'd have to be insane to enter that info into a random system.

Got an email and call asking that I call them back immediately regarding a prob with my account.  I called the number on my statement and apparently citimortgage now calls people after the 1st because they consider it late.  Another way the banks are trying to squeeze us.

Received a recorded message from Citi Mortgage on my WORK phone number, asking that I call them to further discuss details on my mortgage account, or something like that.  No way I'm calling them back - we're totally current on our payments, always have been, so it's either a scam or they're trying to sell us another product or service.  No, thanks!!
