They keep calling me saying they will appear to my residence and my job too sign documents

The person said that if didn't call back by April 15th that they would to my home or to my place of employment with a peace officer and possible hardwear. She was coming as a witness and that I should have two pieces of identification.

Said he had papers from rock county to serve me and if I did not show up at the right time i would get some crap attached to me. Said I needed two pieces of id. Gave a number to call with case number 868839 and ended with you have been served and good luck. Really I am not that dumb.

They're calling and harassing my in laws threatening to come to their residents and my husbands place of work to serve him with papers.

No, they didn't. Real process servers don't call and give you a heads up - they just show up.  Your caller is a scammer attempting to scare you into paying a bogus debt, a debt that's already been paid, or even a debt that is owed - but not to the caller.

This "Jamie Harrison " persona also calls from  844-743-8739  800notes.  See entry dated:  9 Jun 2015.  The number also uses Dispute Resolutions Servives, Di Vision One, as well as something called:  National Arbitration Forum as caller ID.    See entry dated: 7 Jul 2015.

This "Division 1" is a phantom operation.  Most likely calls are coming form this group:

Total scam.  No legitimate process server calls you up in advance and tells you they are coming by.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

I got a call from these people yesterday (april 25, 16). It came from a blocked number, but the voicemail they left was similar to the above, they're going to serve me between 12-6, or they'll come to my place of employment, and if they do be sure to have 2 forms of ID, and the boss there to serve as a witness. They left a number to call back (1-877-817-0902) and a case number, and the last words were a "you have been notified". I called back because it scared the hell out of me, and they said it was in regards to a payday loan I defaulted on (I did in 2013). They wanted $430 (originally it was $250), or their willing to take 3 monthly payments instead. If I don't pay they're going to take it to court with in days, paying is the only way to stop the legal action. They wanted card numbers, I told them I didn't have them and I'd call them back tomorrow, the guy ended with "go out and buy a prepaid card, or get a family members and call me back tomorrow with that".  Whole thing made me paranoid, never had a call like that before. Glad I found this place, it looks like this is a scam, or if they are going to sue they're not going to warn me first (hopefully i dunno). I'd pay this off but I just literally got off the street after 7 months homeless, I'm barely making it lol.

Same person as the post right above, i saved the voicemail:  "My name is investigator John Watson calling from divison 1 legal support and service department" "reason for the call is i received certified legal documents..." "I'm calling because I'm scheduled to come out to obtain a signature on these certified legal documents..." "if you do not reschedule your case will be considered a direct refusal to sign and receive for your summons, the plaintiff in this case will then proceed without your consent or knowledge..."

Same call but it was a woman. Caller ID Unknown. Saying she was working with my parish and would show up at my house or place of employment, "THAT SHE HAS ON FILE FOR ME", with two sheriff deputies and to have my boss or supervisor there as a witness bc these are legal documents transferring from one person to the next. Funny thing is, I am disabled!!! Have been for four years now! So I cant work. Definitely a scammer! Do not give your $ or any information! Plus the 1-877-817-0902 number she gives for me to call back is for Mitchon Services which is a communication service for doctors to buy to help enhance their practices! Nothing to do with debt collection

I received a call from an 'unavailable' number...as did my mother, my father, and one of my sisters on their cell phones (none of whom I've lived with for over 20 year), from a woman claiming to be 'Investigator April Lawson from Division 1 Legal Service Department'. She claimed that she was notifying me of a certified court summons that she was hired to deliver to my home or place of employment on 4/28/16. And that if she does appear at my place of employment she will need my supervisor present as a witness and that I will need 2 valid forms of identification. If I will not be available or I wish to resolve this voluntarily, I may contact the 'petitioner'; they are requesting to speak with me beforehand, Their number is 877-817-0902, and then gave me a case number. Failure to contact prior the filing party will result in her coming out with a uniformed officer was well as being issued a body attachment. Thank you and good luck...you have been legally notified.
First of all, I have had a legitimate court summons sent to me years ago after my divorce for a credit card bill that my ex didn't pay. No one called me first; no one called y family members; no one threatened me with police. It arrived from the mailman as a certified letter. Period. That is how all real legal court summons work. Do not let these people scare you into giving them money over the phone. I called the number 'April' left me & the voice on the 'automated answering system' was this same 'April' person. When I finally got transferred to someone, the guy who answered claimed ignorance. I told him this person said you wanted to talk to me, why would she say that if the case is no longer in your office?? I raised my voice real loud & informed him that this call was being recorded and they had better stop calling me & my family & harassing me; that I am going to report this wherever & however I can to help avoid others become victim to their scam and extortion. He claimed he was notating my account.

i got pissed after reading all of this (same as other anon name before), "have you been hoodwinked?, have i disturbed your calm?"(trollface) yes! I called back today and got a voicemail from a woman this time, and they called themselves "dispute resolution services" (not the name mentioned in the voicemail or when I called yesterday). The goal was to get their address / contact info. Clearly didn't get very far, i'll try back tomorrow and the next day. I realize I owe this debt, but this is some shady ****. Once again glad I found this place and everyone that posted here, otherwise i might have been fooled into paying out to someone who probably isn't the debtor anyway. I gave them my last 4 which was probably a huge mistake, but like I said earlier, never dealt with this type of call before. I'm at the point now where I'm all for, go ahead and serve me, this is some half rate debt collector using shady wording to scare the hell out of people.  I'll post back when I hammer them for info. I can't take a bank levie, if they are actually going to go that far I'll declare bankruptcy. I live paycheck to paycheck, this is some BS.

Not to mention after listening to the voicemail over and over, and thinking back on the call back, when I talked to the person I called back, he said, "well what must of happened is you got called by a process server". The person I got when I called back and entered the case number was the same person as in the voicemail claiming to be the "process server". I realize people need to pay their debts, and trust me I'm suffering from terrible credit, but what am I supposed to do? I just got off the street, finally putting it back together and this BS. Bank levie = back to the street, which is why I got hoodwinked. Don't let it happen to you. I want these peoples names addresses and numbers, and I'm gonna file every complaint possible against whatever shady company this is.

Since they talked to you this is what they must do by law:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Received this call many times today as well with same message.
They called my father, husband, step-mother, mother-in-law, son my house and my cell number. How frustrating!
