- Chew| 1 replyReceived an unsolicited TXT to my cell phone claiming to thank me for visiting their website (what website?) and that I should call 877-817-7402 to claim my Walmart $200.00 rebate voucher. Obviously a SCAMMER.

- Lou replies to ChewI got the same message 1/31, called and soon as she answered. the phone disconnected. When I tried to call back, it never even rang and "call ended". My son said they probably found out what they wanted (it is a good # for a scam) and then blocked all further calls. Makes sence.
- Jessi got a text from 877-817-7402 saying i won a 200 gift card from walmart. i didn't call it. sounds like a scam.

- texasmomSame here. Just got a text on my cell saying "Thanks 4 visiting our website Call (877)817-7402 to claim your $200 Walmart Rebate Voucher!
Didn't call. Never visited any website and never gave out my cell number....scam. - spudI got same unsolicited text from the 7402 number and from short code 51297 a few mins later.
this is probably 10 sms in total over the past 2 weeks.
I reported them to the AT&T sms spam number. (7726) LOL like that's going to do anything !
I will see if I can contact Wallmart, I expect they don't even know someone is irritating their
customers...
Perhaps I should call up att for an sms refund.
If enough people do that, maybe they will do something about it.- Caller: ??

- KatieI received this text as well. Apparently the number goes to Matthew Lesko Government Grants. The first time I called they wanted to get information from me and when I wouldn't give it but tried to get her to tell me where I was calling she suddenly couldn't hear me well. After a frustrating back and forth I hung up. Not liking to give up and let them get away with this without me knowing what the scam is I had to call back. The phone call went the much the same way at first with her wanting my information and telling me I called her. Told me twice we are being recorded and the second time I told her "I know". I told her since they sent the text I needed her first to tell me what I am supposed to be calling about. She kept resisting then finally told me it was this Matthew Lesko Government Grants http://www.mlesko.com/

- NewOrleansGirlSame here. Got the text (which cost me money) saying I won the $200 gift card from WalMart for visiting a website (which I did not visit because I haven't been to any web sites today). Too afraid to call it. Glad I checked it online first.
- JanineRec'd the mass text to call (877)817-7402 to claim my "free $200 WalMart voucher". Appears to be a mass-text to gather info for Matthew Lesko's sales org. I called their cust serv # 1-800-955-POWER and had them take me off their list. I also used the members-only quick email section to tell them I'd be reportingthem to the FCC, the BBB, and the State Attorneys of my and their states, if I started getting hit with a lot of calls or efforts to commit fraud in one way or another. Since I'm not a member of any of Matthew Lesko's groups, I doubt they'll read it,but it was worth a few seconds of my time.

- MichelleI received this message twice...one right after the other and after reading all these posts, I decided to reply with "stop" and this usually takes your number off of their contact bank. You'll receive a confirmation stating that you are unsubscribed.

- Ophelia RoydzReceived text message on cell phone, "Thanks for visiting our website, call 877-817-7402 for a $200 gift card at Walmart". Reported number to National Do Not Call Registry. Also called and traced the number, only really works in NY. Someone lets you know it's a political agency trying to get people to support the blockage of Walmart's entrance into NY. Not a scam, an agenda, and an evil one at that. Boogie-Boogie!!

I opted out all my numbers on the opt-out website a long time ago. The only thing I have done lately where I used my cell# was have American Airlines text me with my flight information last week. Hmmmm- Caller: No idea
