- Terasiena cunningham (Siena) replies to JimI agree. this company calls all the time. I get calls on Sundays - all day. on the weekday, when they call, and I answer, I pretend to be the Lori Weatherspoon they claim they are looking for, by pressing the key they command. then I am transferred to a person who hangs up on me after I identify myself as the "Lori Weatherspoon" of Detroit, MI. before the person hangs up, she/he asks me if I am "Lori Weatherspoon" ...sounds like they KNOW that the person they are looking for is NOT at my number, so, why then do they keep calling. one guy asked me "which number did we call" well, he called me, why would I give a complete stranger my information and they dont want to identify them-self first. I placed ALL of my numbers on a do not call registry, yet collection agencies seem to be an acception to the rule.
lastly, FYI to all readers, dont leave voice messages stating your first and last name. the collection agencies records your name in their directory in the event they need to find you. collection agencies sell debt to each other after a certain period of time to remain compliant with certain state regulations. remember, collection games are real and hit the credit reporting bureaus. if you look closely, you will see your name spelled many different ways indicating to creditors (companies like visa, amex, ect) that at some point you were willing to commit fraud using a alias when in fact, the collection agencies are reporting this information against your social security number (that is suppose to be private but the main source of info EVERYONE tried to collect). unfortunately, this leaves credit extension up to the company's judgment, and the credit bureaus in a position of "The Enabler."
peace and blessing to all readers - Linda Brandonreporting
