My sister receives lots of calls from this number. Seems to be Gulf Coast Collection Bureau.

First off, I have absolutely no idea what in hell this caller has started calling my number.
It sounded like a representative talking but actually a recorded message, it goes something like:
Hi my name is XXX XXXX(I erase the message everytime I got a call from this number) calling from GCCB(I am not quite sure of this abbreviation either).  I have an important business issue to discuss about.  Please call 877-827-4820 this is toll-free, and mention file number: "XXXXXXX"(only this part is recorded/machine-like).  Again, my name is XXX XXXX and calling from CGGB.

Every message is exactly the same.
I'm kinda surprised to know that this is a collection agency as I've no issue on credit.
This is probablly related to my ex-roommate who has serious credit problems.
My number's been on the "Do not call" registry for a long time and I've filed complaint several times but seems this company would never give up calling my number.  I do not even want to return a call as I am not quite sure of the nature of the call, eventhough I've nothing to do with collection agency...

Yes, this 877-827-4820 must have an automated dialing system. They have taken to calling my number every other day with a recorded message. I tried once to actually return the call so I could find out what it was about and ask them to quit calling but I was stuck on hold for no less than 10 minutes awaiting an actual person. This practice of harrassing people and having them go through an act of congress to figure out why should be prohibited. I only learned through my own research who the company is that has been calling me.

We too have received MANY calls from this number.  I believe they may be trying to reach a relative, who does not live at our address.  I am sick of getting these calls, we are also on a "do not call list" and also I have tried blocking them with our phone blocking service, it hasn't worked.  If anyone out there knows WHO to call to report this obnoxious company,,,,please advise.  I may just call the person, who's name they leave,,,,if he is a REAL person and bother HIM at night and on Saturdays.

I'm so sick'n'tired of this number.  I know they are some collection agency that I've no reason to be contacted by.  I've kept filing complaint against this number everytime I got call.  They usually stop calling for few days after I file but then started call again approx 1 week after my complaint, then keep calling my number in every 3 to 5 days interval between each calls.  They used to leave message but they don't anymore.
I seriously hope that there'd be someway to get rid of this agency(or whoever) calling me.

I just started getting calls from this number the other day.  Glad to hear I'm not the only one.  I also do not have any credit problems and can only guess that its a mistake or related to my ex or something like that.  I was going to call them back or try out the no call list but it sounds as if that doesn't do much good.  I'll see if just ignoring them will work.  :)

yeah i just got called by this number and they where looking for my 7 year old sister   ....aparently shes deep in debt......

I also have been receiving calls from this number with the name Roy Dillard. Half of the message sounds real and half sounds recorded. I never answer but wonder who they are calling for. They can keep calling for all I care because I will never answer. Thank goodness for caller id!

Same story....always on my cellphone, asking for someone I have never heard of and saying that it is "a time-sensitive matter".  My Husband called them and insisted on knowing whoh they are.  The answer was "Gulf Coast Medical"....??  When he got angry and told them to stop harrassing me, the guy hung up the phone.

This is who they were looking for - every second day.  I just called the number above (1-888-839-6999), hit #1, explained the situation and they said they would remove my number from the system.  Let's see if it works.

Collection agency keeps calling looking for someone else, leaves me a message at least every day, I called them once already and asked them to stop calling, and that they abviously have the wrong #, they said they would take my name off their list and I still keep getting calls.

I am also receiving these calls. some how they also got my cell phone number and home... it is making me crazy...

Same problem here, call after call for someone with the first three letters of their name the same as mine.  Now I finally found the solution!

The automated call has been harrassing me for weeks.  I have no outstanding debts, however last year and the year before I had received calls from a collection company and I spoke to the supervisor informing them that they either had the wrong number or someone accidently put my number on an application.  The person whom they were trying to reach wasn't even in my city!  Then the calls stopped!  You would think they would do a little research before harrassing innocent people.  How can we get them to stop?

I owe nothing to nobody and have been getting calls on my CELL for 4 months,I am filing with the FCC, you can go to there webpage and download a form or call. Anyone with me? The more complaints they get against them the bigger the fine for harrassement
