Call from Bank of America rep about new online account application w/ them.

Just got a call from this guy too - SHAAAADY...  BofA story as well.  Definitely scammers.

It's not a scam. I just called BoA on the local number I always use and they confirmed that this 1-877-838-4587 is a legitimate number for opening accounts at BoA. I opened an account over the phone yesterday, and I got a call from this 1-877 number this morning asking me to call back to provide more information.

I am speaking to BofA at this moment and it is NOT a B of A number. Do not ever give your full social to anyone over the phone--this is a direct quote from the representative I am currently speaking too. Always look up the proper number online to be sure.

I, too, received an e-mail from BofA asking me to verify my information for a new account created online, which listed the phone number 1-877-838-4587.  I called the regular BofA 1-800 customer service number and received confirmation from the representative that the 877 number IS legitimate and if for their online accounts department.
