The person who calls is always speaking Spanish. I do not understand Spanish so I am not sure what he is saying but when I finally asked to be removed from their list he said "F%$& You" and I was of course upset and asked him who this was and he kept repeating F$*# You every time I asked him and then he hung up....

Same story.  A client of mine (CT resident) has been receiving endless calls from Manuel Hurtado stating that he is an attorney and that she had co-signed a purchase in the amount of $600.  The calls came from  877-847-1640.  I called on my client's behalf and "Manuel" refused to give me any information regarding the matter or any of his information.  He accused me of not being an attorney and got beligerent on the phone.  I hung up and he called back and continued his tirade.  I told him that as an attorney he knows that once a person is represented by counsel that any communication should go to that person.  He said that he was not going to send anything to me.  I reported him to the CT Attorney General.  His name did not come up as a member of the CA State Bar or on Martindale Hubbell.

This just happened to me too.  What did you ultimately do?  I don't have the money to hire an attorney or to go to Los Angeles just because some guy is allegeding that I verbally co-signed for something when I have never even spoken to the man.  Please help guide me in the right direction if you can.

this so called attorney called me as well!!!  -1st he called my parents house, telling my mother i owed $2,500 and that i had a court hearing in july
i called him back,
he said i co signed for this individual, a english learning course, and that i owed $600!!
i repeated to him over and over that i had no idea what he was talking about, then said he provided an address and it threw me off because the street is the same as my parents and i said i knew the street but not the address, he then asked me to go to that house, get that person on the line, and have him verify we dont know each other?????
thats when i went off on this Manuel Hurtado (a lawyer that cant carry on a conversation in english?)
then he said that he was trying to avoid me going to court, but i re assured him, i would more than happy go to court, a goverment institution were i could get legal documents stating that i have nothing to do with who ever he was talking about,
as soon as i got home i googled the number, and sure enough obvious FRAUD!!
i called my police department attempting to file a police report but was advised to call experian and put a red flag on my credit,
i called him back and told him i researched him and that hes obviously a phony, he got mad and said he didnt have to tell me anything, i re assured him if he calls my familys house again, i will hire a real attorney and sue him!!

If you get a call from this so called "Miguel Hurtado"; don't give him any of your information. He is a phony because I can bet you that he called you on your home phone or any phone in a public directory. He probably told you that someone (probably in your neighborhood) used you as a Co-Signer for an English course for that cost $600; and that since he didn't pay it, you owe the debt now. Don't be alarmed because he gave you an address in your neighborhood from the "Person" that used you as a co-signer because remember he got your number from a directory with your address so he can easily make up a name with a real address. If he calls you back tell him that you know he is phony because he is all over google. Tell him to get a real job. Block this fools number if you can.

We had a Person by the name of Manuel Hurtado call us in the evening. I personally had fun with the guy, he spoke english and spanish. His claim was the same "going to court and wanted us to pay" I spent 15min with the guy. he is a Phony.rude and tried to get under the skin. I told him to put minutes on his prepaid card. Then he got upset. Good times i had with him. Scam artist. Just dont give out information and forget he called. Real lawyers send you real information.

My sister received a phone call today from Manuel Hurtado.  Looks like he's piling on the calls to see who innocently falls.  He told the same story as the folk above.  An attorney called on behalf of her and all of a sudden this "Attorney" in the United States did not know how to speak English.  We offered to put a translator on the line to better communicate and he hung up; go figure.  Ignore his calls and don't waste your breath on this fool.

This C@#k S%$^er Manuel Hurtado wannabe attorney, called me and mentioned that I co-signed for an indivudual on an English course. I followed by telling him to fax me the docs that I signed he told me it was an oral contract. Yes i got pissed off but told him he was a scammer and he said that he will send me to jail for 2 years for lying.  Told him to send me paper work so I can show up to court, again send it was all oral court order. Looked up his info and this is what i found.  Be careful people there is some lazy mofos out there trying to make the easy buck!!!!!!!!!

Hay un 'abogado' que esta llamando a personas diciendo que les debe dinero porque un pariente/familiar puso su nombre en un contrato para cursos de Ingles. El dice que tiene la firma de Usted. Es completamente falso. No es abogado. Es un estafador. Dice que va haber un juicio contra Usted si no le pagues. Esto es completamente falso. No hay pruebas de nada. No hay juicio. No le de informacion personal a el, ni de nadie que conozca. Esta intentando atraves del miedo conseguir que Usted le de dinero.

There is a false lawyer who is telling people that they co-signed for an English course that they must now pay. This is a fraud scam. Don't give in. Don't give him any personal information, nor information about people you know or relatives. He is using fear to try to get money from people. Don't listen to him. Block his calls, and warn others if possible.

Do not pay this man without proof of contract. If he says he will file a lawsuit, let him do it- you can later negotiate if it is true you owed money.
This man is making his rounds here in Oregon but doesn't leave info regarding his organization, legal proof, bar number (he is not an attorney in CA). He is a FRAUD! If you can get info from him, report him to the Department of Justice Financial Fraud.

Hola, soy Manuel Hurtado y los comentarios puestos, no me preocupan, porque si fuera un estafador, me deberian de denunciar y las personas que escriben su comentario, deberían poner una queja con su nombre y apellido. Ahora lo que noto que quienes se quejan son personas que no les gusta pagar su deuda, hacen contratos y despues no cumplen y cuando le llaman a cobrar se ofenden y por lo general son las personas que siempre tienen problemas con todas las company. Aveces sabiendo que deben les cuesta pagar.

El consejo que puedo dar, para aquellas personas es mejor no comprometerse con nadie hasta no estar seguros de lo que van a hacer.

De esa misma manera no deben poner referencias en sus contratos si saben que son irresponsables, volubles.
