I called it back and a message said Vietnam Veterans of Washinton State.

Every day...Every day...A call from this number. Sometimes 2 calls a day. I am on a no call list that does NO good at all. I work Eve's and often am awakened by this insistent caller. I have asked for my number to be taken off call list to no avail. They would not tell me who they were since I answered "take this number off". I cannot believe it is the Veterans since they would surely leave a message?

I receive as many as 8 calls a day. Since I have caller ID, I just ignore answering the phone.

Another "Robocall" pest. They called late in the evening yesterday, but when I pried myself from in front of the boob tube to answer the phone, there was no response. And, of course, this was because it was a computer calling, and you only get to talk to a real person if they aren't too busy pestering some other unfortunate sucker who was stupid enough to answer the phone. Robocalls should be illegal.

Like the rest of you, I also have gotten multiple calls from this number. A few months ago, I had to literally yell over the person on the other end tho, because they wouldn't stop talking!! They just kept going and going, and they finally almost yelled back at me, saying "Excuse me?!" When I told them to "Stop f***ing talking over me and LISTEN! TAKE ME OFF THIS CALL LIST, NOW!!!"... until yesterday, they had not called back for a while. I think it's time to file a formal harrassment charge.

The man did say he was a professional fund raiser but the words he used as well as his way of speaking did not sound professional to me.  I asked for the Vietnam Veterans of Washington printed information to be sent via USPS but I doubt I will ever see it.  Sites like this one are greatly appreciated!  The more information we share with each other the safer we all will be from scammers and crooks.  Thank you.

Robo calls are such a pest that the FTC.gov has a consumer alert.  They don't seem to offer much help as their 'tips' include hanging up, calling your phone provider and going to the National Do Not Call site to register or complain.  Of course my provider, Comcast could care less when I asked them to block the call or offer -any- help from their end.  Of course we all know by now how the official Do Not Call list works...by not working yet providing a false sense of being pro-active.   CnnTech had an article that robo calls would become illegal but then also write that the ones who call us anyway, despite already being on the National o Not Call won't comply even when it becomes law.  But that's how criminals & shady business works.  Such a bane to society.
