Got an unknown person name Victoria who called using +18133025753 number looking for my dad (not me) left a message saying they are calling regarding a personal matter and left this call back number 877-859-8347. I asked my dad ,he has no personal matter issue and do not know anyone name Victoria. Most likely a scam.

I got a call on my phone for my husband.  The caller said her name was Casey and needed to talk to him about a personal matter.  He does not know this person and has no personal matter she should be calling him about.

Got a call from Lauren saying it’s a personal matter. I do not have know this person nor do I have a personal matter to talk about. Possible scam.

On 06.30.20 @ 5:48 pm CST an unknown person (Eric) caller ID +1623.293.9884 number (Phoenix AZ)  left a voice mail saying he was calling me regarding a personal matter and left this call back number 877-859-8347. I have no personal matter issue and do not know this individual.  Blocked it ~ Most likely a scam.

I received a call from this number, with a message very similar to those described below. The message starts like this; this is your healthcare team calling on behalf of your primary care provider

Called / left message on behalf of my Primary Care Doctor (named said doctor) and referenced my correct Insurance. Gave me a number too call back and it was from my insurance Well Med. This was a legit call but had to give info to prove it was me (birthday & address) before he would talk to me  This caller was upfront stating they were from my insurance co. The call was to schedule my yearly preventive tests, blood draw and urine, etc.

They are starting with a lie. They are not calling "on behalf of your primary care Dr" -  that implies that your doctor knows about and approves of the tests they want to charge Medicare or other carriers for. Odds are your Dr knows nothing about the call.

Sometimes the testing outfits also claim they are calling from your insurance carrier if you have an Advantage type plan or similar. I always wonder about these calls - it is a great way to milk someone's insurance. Most of the tests are cheap to run but can be billed at great profit.

- PS - There are a number of phishing scams that start with this sort of call, names and numbers that show in your caller ID can be spoofed and it is best to take the info and call back on a number you lookup yourself and know is good.

So I got the following call, they left this message: “Hello my name is Susie I'm calling from Walmart if you could please return my call you can reach me at 877-859-8347 thank you and have a good day…”  Doesn’t jive with other’s experiences but certainly just as fake.

I also got the call that says she is from Walmart? At least that's what it sounds like. Very strange. Blocked it.

Caller was Susan. Stated she was calling for my doctor's office and did give my doctor's correct  name. She said she was from WellMed and please call her back.  I've recd. Numerous calls from this number.  Needless to say, I don't return the calls.   This is quite unnerving since she did have my doctor's name.

These people work for a third party company.  The physician hires them to "manage" your health care.  They have lists of procedures covered by your insurance and will hound you until the end of time to get you to schedule said procedure(s).  I never authorized my pcp or insurance to share my medical or contact information with ANYONE, yet here we are.  I'm an adult.  Perfectly capable of speaking with my doctor directly and participating in healthcare decisions regarding any procedures the doctor might recommend.  I do not need, nor do I want, some third party company accessing my medical records and insurance coverage to "market" procedures and services to me.  Not now, not ever.  I've done everything possible to have them remove me from their mailing and contact lists, and yet, here we are.  Block one number and they call on a different number.  I plan to change companies during open enrollment.  This is all marketing to increase the doc's revenue, and, of course, these people get a payment.  No thanks.  BTW, the insurance companies won't disclose this practice when you sign up, so you should consider inquiring if they, or the docs under their plan, utilize these third party companies.

Caller ID 1-877-8347 Doctors Office. A lady with thick accent said it is Wellmed calling on behalf of United HealthCare about preventive care. I believe it is a scam since WellMed does only financial management for United and not supposed to contact actual customers. Hung up saying that United should call me if they need to.

Received a call from Well med on behalf of UHC 877-859-8347. Said his name was John and calling me about a medical procedure

A woman called me saying she was from Wellmed on behalf of United Health Care and wanted to help me make an PCP appt.  Asked for my personal info and I said NO.  I told her she's calling from and 877 number and i have no idea who she is and who Wellmed is.  I told her to send me an email or better yet have UHC or my Dr. send me a request and I would not give her any information.
