I have gotten about 6 phone calls from this number in the past 2 days.  When I answer, they say they are PECO Energy (the local energy company) calling to confirm my appointment to have my meter read.  I don't have PECO - none of my house bills are in my name and my phone number is not listed on any household utility accounts.  I called the PECO customer service number and they verified they do not have my number listed on any account and it is not them calling.  This is a scam - someone trying to get my information for whatever reason...

In my case, this was a valid automated message confirming an appointment I had set up for tomorrow to change the old analog electric meter with gears and dials to a "smart meter" with LCD display and wireless link to San Diego Gas & Electric.

The message left is of low quality and there are drop outs.

    No questions were asked.

Got a phone call to my place of business from this number asking for product pricing. I asked for the name of his company and the gentlman replied that it was not information he could give out. He did however say that his name was Andrew and provide a different number than the one he called from (215)-37-8327. So that my company could give him a call back. I did also call the 877 # back and there wasn't an answer.

The number is from Grid One Solutions, formerly VSI Meter Services.  They are a company that does contract work for various different utility companies nation wide.  It is not a scam, possibly just a wrong number dialed.

This is not a scam.  I got notification in the mail that PECO will be replacing our meter.  There will be a very brief interruption of service, of which we will be informed when this happens.  Brief as in only a minute or two.

I did not answer the call.

I have recently been informed by PECO, my electricity supplier, that they would be coming around to service the meters outside.

PECO calling because they are upgrading our meters. Sometimes they leave a message, other times they do not. The message states if your meter is inside the house that you need to schedule an appoinment. If the meter is outside the house, do nothing. We also got a letter stating they are upgrading meters so it is a legit phone number. If you do not have PECO it's likely a wrong number.

Got a call today but no ID so did not answer. This seems to be a gas meter service for PECO in this area, and trying to schedule another job to update meters. None of these idiots understand we do not answer calls without knowing who they are. They should be fined for every call made with no caller ID.
