BEWARE of this number!!!

We got a call last night from UNKNOWN Caller ID and they left a message with this return number.  The caller claimed to be from Bank of America's fraud department and asked that we immediately return the call on suspected fraud.  My wife began to call and an automated system picked up and asked for her ATM card number.  I told her to hang up immediately and call the 800 number on our statements.

Once we got the REAL Bank of America on the line they verified my suspicion - it was a SCAMMER.  The number given was not from B of A, and we reported it to their Fraud/Security department.

The scammer's message was very professional sounding and believable.  My wife said she probably would have fallen for it if I had not been there and intervened.  Tell your friends and family about this scam and to NEVER just respond to the number on an answering machine message.  Call your bank's KNOWN customer service number and ask if there really is a problem with your account.
