i just got the same message. god people are dumb! i dont even have a damn ATM card! piss me off! i wana call the number and tell them to go to F*@K OFF!

It's scary because I do have a Comstar Federal Credit Union acct. But, obviously I know that they don't even know my cell phone #. Sadly, I'm sure others fall for it.

Got a text last night (2/22/09) for "Harbor C.U." stating ATM card suspended. Funny, I don't have their ATM card, nor have I heard of them. Called the local police to report but they don't follow up with this (seems felonies are out of their realm of pursuit). Called the number, recorded message requests your 16 digit card number to be entered. DUH! How stupid do you think I am? Sorry for any dum-dum that falls for this scam, unfortunately authorities aren't concerned with this B.S. Would love to rip the scrotum off these culprits, tho.

I originally got the text from 800-928-0352, now a Similar text(different bank name used)is being text from 1-877-863-6551, there is a way the cell providers can trace it via IP address. If you look at the text coding(on my cell it's 5000) that particular code means it was submitted(texted) via the web.
