Distressing to be sure, but until you dispute the debt and give notice about what sort of contact is inconvenient, you don't have much of a complaint to keep posting here every other week. In no case do you have a right to gate-crash other 800Notes threads where your remarks don't belong, using the name heard by recipients of canned calls from LERS, like you've done this month.

This is not the phone number of LEADING EDGE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS, It is the phone number of a scammer. Do not reply. Just because they say that they are the above company, it doesn't mean that it's true. PLEASE, PLEASE don't believe what someone you don't know says on the phone or sends in an email just because you read it or hear it.

Exactly - since the person does not owe the debt, THAT is the reason for the dispute.  Can't YOU read?  Duh.

    >>> to intimediate that you actually owe money. <<<

"Intimediate?"  You've coined (perhaps unwittingly) a perfect portmanteau for a certain type of scam that is often reported here.  Can we use it?

If a third party agency names you as an alleged debtor and sends the required dunning letter, you must raise a timely dispute to preserve all of your FDCPA rights. You can't just fold your arms and do nothing, or the calls and letters will continue. The agency can proceed as though everything said of your alleged indebtedness is true. That kind of inaction is what permits collector abuse and gets people racked on court judgments, even for debts the collector cannot prove valid.

You mean you want debt collectors to dispute themselves and prove you don't owe? Have you any idea how absurdly ignorant that sounds? It matters very little if the agency has attracted AG and FTC lawsuits or you think it's "the biggest scam outfit". Just because it may have a record of harming others does not mean it cannot make your own life difficult. Not challenging its claim is a step away from admitting that it's true.

Before you lob any more illiterate rebuttals, you really need to review the FDCPA links I posted here a month ago.

Problems, we don't understand the predatory and cowardly "debt collection practices / tactics" used by skip tracers and 3 party collectors. It's confusing why all the "wrong number" "wrong person" "family member" "associated list" "security systems" "winner" "whatever" contact calls. BBB ratings do not reflect business practices until enough complaints are received to raise the red flag. Same goes for all state and federal consumer protection agencies. Posting on 800 notes should be followed with complaints to consumer protection agencies. Protecting your elderly, vulnerable, uninformed family members are included. If you're confused, have no idea why the contact, why you and family members are being harassed, abused, or exploited. it may be due to deceptive and unfair business practices. Contact state and federal consumer protection agencies.

Yes shows they are a business but doesn't explain full business tactics, does show "skip trace" "3rd party" http://www.linkedin.com/company/lers then we have a BBB report that allows you to start the complaint process click on "file complaint" and also provides contact numbers for this business. http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/c ... d=2&gen=2&lid=1.
