Just another bottom feeder intruding upon my privacy. BLOCKED like all the others. I will BLOCK every number in existence, if necessary until my number is MY OWN again.

Trying to collect on an account that was dismissed in court and it is nine years old way passed the Statute of limitations.  They have several phone numbers just block all of them.

The SOL has nothing to do with the collection of debt, only on their ability to legally sue you in court.  SOL varies by state and runs from 3 years to 15 years.  I'm not sure what you mean by "dismissed in court".  Was it discharged in a bankruptcy hearing?

Collection call scam on expired debt

Call today on my cell, I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I don't answer calls I don't recognize.  If it was legitimate business they would have left a message.  Scammers are at it again.  Blocked number

I get repeated calls. They mispronounce my name so legally there is no one here by the name they repeatedly say. They will not identify themselves and their number is not identified in caller id. I do know which collection agency it is, and like the other reporters above they are calling in regard to a bill that was long ago discharged.

This number called, I answered and said hello, the line stayed silent. I hung up and blocked it. Useless

Caller ID said Toll Free Call. Now blocked.

Called me today, left no message. I appreciate that others have reported here about TC. It "collects on old debts that have been purchased and/or discharged. BBB rating = C."

Basically, the very first thing on their page is, "THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED" in bolded letters. With 51 negative public reports, Total Care now has a B rating.
I'm leaving this caller marked as "Unknown". They didn't leave me a message, so I have no idea why they are calling me.

Accreditation means nothing since the business pays the BBB for that accreditation (big bucks) and then they usually get a better rating as the result of it.

Had a call from this number, it was a scam they said my wife owed them, I was a little shocked because I do not have any debit, none, Zero, but to be safe I pulled our credit and on outstanding debits. Called them back told that all calls recorded I explained that my wife and I do not owe any debits and for them to contact our attorneys gave them the number and click they put the phone down on me. We have passed the number to our local Sheriff's office, was told they contact people and demand payment for none exciting debits, mainly from seniors.

I received a call from the 1877 878-3005. No message left. I would advise you not to pick up the phone, if you don't know these people. An actual  business will send you a letter concerning what needs to be taken care of. If the calls persist I would recommend reporting the phone number to the FTC,FCC, and any and all communication agencies. Our tax dollars pay for their services in serving us the people. I had a problem and I finally got fed up and told the scammer that I had reported their number to the FCC and the calls have stopped. We need to fight back using the same tools. The " no call registry and or opt-out " are jokes. They have no teeth.

This number just called me and when I answered they hung up

Go to a sporting goods store and buy a referee whistle --  each time you get a call from them --  pick up and just blow the whistle as loud and long as you can      ---   Took me about 2 calls and they quit!  This works great!

The "no call registry", as you call it, is for telemarketers & such, not debt collectors.

No message was left. I called back and yes, it stated "Total Card" and asked me to enter the number at which they tried to contact me.  Nope.  After reading comments on this site, I went ahead and blocked the number.  I do not know of any debt.  The only thing I can think of would be medical debt that I didn't know still existed, for I have had my share of arguments with billing offices!

I have held the phone in the toilet bowl and flushed...that also did it.

Left a soundless message. Presumably the aforementioned collection agency. Added to the blocklist.

Report them to all proper agencies immediately. I am a former bill collector and they are not allowed to discuss that and many other things with anyone except you. They are only allowed to call friends and family 1 time in the attempt to locate you then after that they aren't supposed to keep harassing anyone that is not you. i just received a called from this number. the person name was Lisa. she asked for me by first name but not last name. I asked what company she worked for and what was the nature of this call. She said it was private information and couldn't give the information out. Lisa then asked me for the last 4 of my social. I am was like," Really? You cant tell me why you calling but want the last 4 of my social?" She said i must have the wrong person and hung up..
