Caller ID said Bank of America.  Message said someone charged $353.95 in Miami.  Obviously a scam.

Call back gets, "Welcome to Bank of America."  Went on to ask me to enter debit card number.  While it's prudent to be cautious (I would never enter my debit card number under such circumstances), it's also in your best interest to call BOA using the number on your card or the published number on the web page.  I could be a scam but it could be a fraud alert from BOA.  If you ignore a possible fraud alert, the scammers win.  Call BOA and ask to be transferred to this number.  If it's a legitimate fraud alert, they'll have the information.  I hope you'll post back and let the community know your finding.  Cheers.

This is a scam.  I don't have a Bank of America account and they called me saying I had a purchase declined in another state.  They give you a different number than the main Bank of America number and hope you call it

Received a call on Sunday saying a purchase in another state was declined and gave me this number.  First of all,  I have no Bank of America account and I regularly check my report for any suspicious accounts. I believe this is a scam call from someone lying about being from Bank of America.  If you suspect you may have actual fraud going on,  call the number on the back of your card.

Yes, couldn't agree more.  While caution is always recommended, keep in mind that any number can be spoofed and scammers like to throw doubt on legitimate fraud calls.  Do not ignore but call the number on your card or the published number on the BOA website.
