I have been getting these calls.  They scream about the "nasty and rude kids" ask me who I am and hand up.  If they call while I am out, they hang up on my answering machine.  These calls come in once a day about the same time.  It's scary

Unsolicited number, calls continuously.

The calls just stated today never leave a message I can not answer my phonr at work they need to stop it is my cell phone does anyone know who it is?????

5 calls per day for the past 3 weeks.  I get busy or constant ringing when I call back.  My caller ID says it's fromLocal 100 TWU.  Next time they call I'm prepared.  "You've reached the office of the IRC Sheriffs Dept., Deputy Ben here.  Can I help you?"  We'll see.....

They called asking to speak with my daughter, who is 8 yrs. old, & my nanny let them speak to her, knowing she is a minor. My daughter said he was asking all types of questions, she was scared.

877-888-8888 comes up on the caller id, asked for a Jennifer Knight, said there was no one here with that name, he said, I am sorry and hung up.  Called the number back, busy signal.

THis number keeps calling please someone investigate as this may be  a scary unpredictable reason. They don't answer & voice seems like they are disquising it.  Very wierd...someone please make it stop.

Note this she's _just_ fo the NY Voices... group. Chances are there are other folk aplenty who are sending this FAKE CALLER ID.

877-888-8888 is a spoof number. The callers are likely fraudulent solicitors that use a scrambler to hide the true origin of the call (with out the call showing up as restricted, because most of us ignore blocked calls).

Its why some people are reporting credit card solicitation, others report health care solicitation ... both would require giving out personal information.

Those that report dead air are likely auto dialers whose sole purpose is to gather information as to whether you answered the call or not.... recording the best times to call and try to sell you something. These companies hide their numbers because its borderline illegal.

Left a message on my answering machine requesting a vote for Rebecca Sikes (at least it sounded like that name - no idea who that is) and promising she would, if elected, provide more police and firefighters.  Locally we have a city council election coming up so I guess this is one of the candidates. And, our police and firefighters are unionized, and since that was the gist of this guy's message - hiring more union workers, I guess this is some kind of union crap.

people, DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!! it is a phone hacker, they are capable of getting your personal info if you answer. The longer you stay on the line and chat with them, the more info they will get.

These people call us 5 times a day , and our family is from Alaska. These people are killing me and I want this to stop now.

This is the Transport Workers Union Local 100 in NYC. They are calling for Obama's left wing political calls. All Political calls are exempt from do not call list. They have several propaganda a going at the same time. All you can do is block them...

I'm guessing this number is being used as a "fake" in order to get something from the called: but all they do is "robot"-dial and hang up when the machine picks up, or even when I pick up!  So, after days of annoying hangups I filed a complaint with the "do not call" don't know if it will help, but it should do something!
They do not report who they are or who they represent. Even if the calls are political you can still file a complaint with the do not call registry IF your # has been registered with them for at least 30 days. So, be specific, mention the hours that are called and the feelings of harassment you are experiencing.  I'm sure this # is being used by lots of people over the years. Also, block if you can.  only can block 10 #'s at a time, but each number gets the message over time, so one can cycle blocked #'s.

Whoever these [***] are...they pick the wrong person to mess with!!  I have tried calling their number back numerous times and it either keeps ringing til the busy signal starts or it goes straight to being busy!  Does anyone know who the [***] these people are?

I would buy into that...but my room mate is with the SEIU and I'm pretty sure that they would leave a message or at least, answer their phones...NONE OF which this number does.  In fact, they are voting to strike as I type this, and since my room mate voted yesterday, I really don't think it's them.
