Received a phone call from a lady who named herself as Michelle.  She said she was a debt recovery specialist who stated I had borrowed money from a Pay Day type loan in 2015.  The original debt was for $2500 but now with all the fees the bill had grown to $6500.  Gave realistic information about my identity, knew my date of birth, last 4 of my social security card, listed two former places I have lived.  Stated that I could dispute the claim but in order to dispute it I would need to pay $2500 that day.  Someone either has hacked my information somewhere or gathered information found on sites such as Spokeo to garner personal information.  Not certain how the last 4 of my Social or my birthdate would be on one of those sites though.  I had not had a PayDay type loan in over 20 years.  They mentioned it was a personal loan but stated it also was a PayDay loan.   I asked for documentation.  They said that they had mailed documentation to 2 of the addresses...one of them being my current address.  I had not received any documentation.  Michelle said she could not provide documentation but could assist with the dispute as long as I offered the $2500 to do so...she then put me on hold...for over 5 minutes.  I finally hung up.  I was attempting to gather more information but was unable to.
