Ok so I just received a voicemail from a Jason Jones who said he was coming to my house or place of employment to serve me Wednesday, now one all my bills are paid so I just contacted my lawyer to get to the bottom of this.

you should actually try and call the number, its prob from a payday loan or something stupid. but they'll work with you.

They called me last week but from a different # even though this number still works I just get different people when calling both. It was the same situation Mr. Grey would be out to service me at home or work, he left a claim # and to call 8778935966. When I called no one knew who Mr. Grey was and it must be an "outbound call from their courier department". Well first of all only officers of the law can serve you with a summons and the guy I spoke to "Christian" said they had a pending claim against me for check fraud, stating I must have took out a loan then closed my bank account without paying Ace Cash. First off I actually have a loan out BUT I called them and the lady remembered me and said I only had a payment agreement and I asked her did she have my payment history and she said yes. I always paid on time but I lost my job and was unable to make the last payment. She also said my account was sent to a collection agency (and she gave me the name) and that she'd never heard of Barrett Smith &
Associates or dealt with them. I also called the corporate office to confirm this and was told the same thing. I have filed a complaint with the FTC & BBB (who are useless as last yr foreigners were calling my phone and now I'm beginning to think they sold to my info to these new crop of scammers). The thing that bothers me and why I have a .5% inquiry is that these people are Americans claiming they are a reputable company, but things just aren't adding up. I am currently 8 months pregnant and they scared the [***] out of me so I stupidly gave them prepaid card info and set up a payment plan which they emailed to me but it looked cheaply done. I did all of this BEFORE requesting the debt in writing and even when I did that "Christian" acted as if we hadn't spoken 2 times over the phone. They also called one of my friend's looking for me but she didn't give them any info and it was from an unknown #.

I called them back today and used a claim # and it was somebody else. These fools stated that person's name, address and then put me on hold as if he caught himself but then continued. I obviously didn't know the last 4 of the social so he wouldn't go any further but he was tripping over all his words. If anyone has recently been contacted by these idiots please email me at livein76@gmail.com so that we both know we are not alone. I am pregnant and don't need this stress or harassment in my life.

I received several voicemails saying that they were coming to my house or place employment and that they had a claim pending against me. They've also been calling my mom and telling her that there is a claim against me. They refused to tell her how they got her number. They were supposed to show up on Friday but of course they didn't. I checked my credit reports and there is nothing showing from these people and they are not licensed in my state.

Two days in a row I have come home to message from Ryan Jones from 877-893-5966 with a ref #. He's coming to my house or work place.... have ID ready to serve me. WELL bring it on he will have to get thru a fence and gate then four dogs pit bulls. This really sucks, I just changes my phone # for the same reasons

they have called me for 2 yrs now....they are not in my state either...i did get a pyday loan but pd it in full and have records for that...also have asked many times for my paper work ,it is my legal right...my original paper work and never got any replys back...they too will have to go thru my pittbull....and my smith and wesson.....

I just got several messages from this Barrett Smith and Associates on my mothers phone. They said that someone was sent out to serve me with these documents to either my work or my home. They said if I go to court I will end up paying $3,200 for court, lawyer, and interest fees. But if I settle out of court I would only pay $848. That is if they haven't served me the papers yet because once the papers are served the court dates are set and I must attend. I freaked out and told him that I would pay him on Monday as soon as I rounded up the money and he told me that he would put a hold on my account so that they wouldn't come out and serve me. Funny thing is is that the only people that can serve you is a sheriff (I believe). At first I thought that this was ligit, but the more and more that I look into it the more fishy it gets. Oh, and on one of the three messages that these women left I think that she forgot to hang up because I could hear a TV in the background and a couple of people laughing and talking. This is BS and I can't afford this! This is the second time in the last month that a BS company tried to scam me. Ha ha! They didn't get away with it suckers!!!!

Call today from Gill Adams, with Barrett Smith and Asso. I have 24 hours to contact. I just want to know how they get unlisted and unpublished #s Have changed my # and they still call. 1-877-893-5966 with a ref #

it is illegal for them to say they are from a law firm and it is also illegal for them to scare you into paying the debt. Save all voice mails and sue them!
