They threatened me, want to know if they are an attorney and where they practice

The called my mother in law and said they had to serve me with papers, gave a case number and this phone number ext 182, Catherine Stevens. She then in the message goes on to say legal papers will be served, and Good Luck! This must be a debt collector trying to scare me into calling them back and this is the tactic they are now using. She sounded all serious but I knew it didnt sound right. Do not let them scare you, you have rights.

I found out that I can contact the FTC and file a complaint. I also found out that they are not licensed in my state. I am looking into filing harrassment charges because of how they threatened me and telling me that they were from my local court
