Wanted my social security information and phone number.

Just got a call, didn't answer.

I did today, didnt answer.

just called by same number didn't answer !!!!

This number 877 912 8880 has been calling me every 30 minutes I am NOT answering and have them blocked

Called me twice. First time, I said nothing and they said nothing. Second time, I said yes and then a female voice said to stay on for healthcare enrollment. I hung up after that fearing it might be a scam.

Hope you didn't give social security number. Why would they ask for phone number, though. They called you so they must have it.

got VM from this number stating that I or someone in my family must sign up for health insurance.  info comes back to illinois client enrollment services.

call is either legit or a good scam that is spoofing the caller ID.

Number phoned me at 8:12 am today, I didn't answer - a message was left, I checked it out - only in Spanish . . . I don't speak Spanish . . . getting mr. blocker to block this & other phone numbers.

They left a voicemail saying that I or someone in my house needed to sign up for healthcare. If a plan wasn't purchased one would be chosen for us. I  have coverage and ignored the call.

This is not a scam. This is a call from the Illinois Dept of Healthcare and Family Services regarding your Medicaid and possibly Medicare coverage. If you don't want to confirm you SSN, ask if there is another way to confirm your identity.

These calls are most likely involving some new changes to the way Medicaid and Medicare are being administered in Illinois. As a result, some people (depending on the type of coverage) need to either choose a specific plan or opt out- your choices would depend on your situation. However, ignoring or blocking calls makes it more likely your plan will change without your input. This change is state law and by ignoring the call you are risking your coverage changing without your knowledge or input.

If it's a mockery and/or scam let the FCC and ultimately the Lord Jesus investigate it

You are no more 'in the know' than the rest of us.  They called my teenaged son's cell phone.  Why the heck would he need to enroll in a plan?  That cell phone isn't tied to any 'insurance plan'. If it's the government, they are clearly buying the spoof lists from the same people selling social security numbers to illegals.  And since we have real insurance (not some government POS), they can't do anything to him.  They either need to get a better spam list provider or stop calling.

this is for Medicaide for the state of Illinois.  May be a problem with enrollment of some such.  Google the number- you will see it is them.
