The call I got was from a debt collector on a debt owed.  I don't know why they don't ID themselves ( yes I do) but the best way, I see, to stop the calls is to answer the phone and discuss the situation with the person on the other end.  They're just doing their job.

And what was the name of the business that was collecting your debt ?
Are they going to send you mail by the USPS that documents your debt ?
Are you going to tell us what the business address is ?

This is collections from Valley Care hospital in Pleasanton, ca.

Found out this is not collections but is a department in a collections company.  This number is for Medical bills for many hospitals on accounts that are in jeopardy of going to collections.
