starting receiving text message "Hi Claire, Uber is hiring drivers...".  There is no Claire at our company.  Starting receiving this after signing up for Nixle Widget app for local traffic alerts.  typed in STOP, will see if this ends these bogus texts.

Obviously they don't have my location for their auto-text system form filler.

same msg just received

I just got that text too. I wouldn't reply with "Stop" or anything else for that matter. I just blocked the number.

Same - just got the text "Hi Lori (not my name), we have an immediate opening for a driver in your area. If you are interested call 877-960-0234 Txt STOP to optout." I did reply "STOP" and got "NETWORK MSG: You replied with the word "stop" which blocks all texts sent from this number. Text back "unstop" to receive messages again."

Does texting STOP actually stop them from texting again??

Third time in two days...same exact message as all are stating above. EXTREMELY IRRITATING 😠!!

No, not if the text was from a scammer / spammer.

Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers (including AT&T) will allow you to report unwanted spam texts by simply forwarding them to 7726 (or “spam”) to enable the providers to prevent future unwanted texts from the specific sender.

TIP:
Put 7726 in your contact list, so you can easily forward those unwanted texts!
