The person asked us to verify the address and company name. I did. She said she is calling from Alberta Development branch( no such thing exit)  Then she asked if we are planning to move.. I told it's none of her business. She hung up.

got a call from this number today, hannah from the local chamber of commerce, as described above asking about moving. I said no, she said ok thanks good bye

I'm curious what the scam is, though. any ideas?

Man with Indian accent asking about if we've found a new place or at same location, that scam where he's says he's with the Minnesota State Business Bureau or whatever, I told him "like I've told you all for the past 2 years, we're not looking, not moving!" Guy "Ok I'll update the information ma'am" and then he hung up on me. 7-8-15

Claims to be from the Massachusetts office of Business Development and asks if we found a new location from our business.

I got the same one at least twice, kinda sounds like the same guy, he kept trying the same question over and over.  I told him, maybe, I dont know, there's been some talk about it.  He called once before and I told him you called about a month or so ago and the answer is still the same!! then he hung up on me, its really not any of their business at all

Caller with heavy accent claiming to be from Mass Business Development something calling from a busy call center with lots of background noise wanting to know if we are planning to move. Had this call a lot over the past several years. My answer is always no as that stops the conversation and gives them no information. Obvious phising scam.

Mass has no such office and no interest in business other than tax revenue.

These people call us regularly stating that they are from the "State of Georgia Business Office" and asking if we are still planning on moving.
We have told them to stop calling and that we would report them the very next time.  Well this is it.

1-888-005-1315 she said her name is Hannah and she's calling us every week for more than a month already asking if we're going to move. She says she's from Chambers of Commerce.

Called my office in Arizona and identified himself as a rep for the State of Arizona Business Development Office, upon my questioning who he was with he specifically said he was with the Arizona State Government. Asked if we were in a new office already, I said yes (no secret there, we are all over the internet for our biz). Irked me that he lied about working for our AZ state government. I will report to the call to the AZ State authorities, probably nothing will be done. I think it was a offshore operation, guy sounded like English was a second language for him.

This is such a scam phone number it's a joke.  Disgusting people.

Received a call from a "Kevin Baker" claiming to be with the Province of Ontario "following up" .
Wanted to know if we had made a decision on moving to our new location .
They were told that we would not be divulging any information and when they failed with our first employee they called back and get another .Our staff all shut them down but they are persistent .
They finally made it through to me and I asked them what this was about and they simply told me it was a courtesy call.
I told them that I was not interested and they suggested they would call back and speak with someone else !

They eventually became frustrated with me and hung up on me.

Caller state she was from the State of California something board. Asked if we had found a new location, I said we weren't looking and ours was fine. She asked me again 3 more times the same question....as soon as I asked for her number she hung up on me.

This number just called.  The man said his name but he spoke with a very heavy accent (Indian) I believe.  He told me he was calling from the state of Missouri (we are located in MO) and told me this was a courtesy call and he simply wanted to confirm our address.  He could not tell me the division he worked for??  I then told him that I needed to verify that he was from the state office and to give me his number and I would call him right back with the info he wanted.  He gave me an 800 number that does not exist.  Before I hung up with him he asked one more  time about our address and I told him I would give him that info once I verified his number and called him back.  He hung up!  The number he gave me was junk but this is the number he called me from according to our caller ID 888-005-1315.

Doesn't matter if you tell them, yes, no or don't call back. They have called here for YEARS. Does not do any good to report the since number and name is spoofed.

We get the same lady calling every few weeks.  She claims to be from the Province of Alberta something or other and wants to know the same thing.
We've hung up on her and she calls right back claiming this is the first time she's called.  This has happened on many occasions.  Today I finally got her name- she said it was Eileen Williams.  I asked her for her phone number.  She gave it to me:  1-800-435-7000.  I told her I'd call her back.  In under a minute, she called back. When I answered and was about to tell her off she hung up on me again.
I called the number she gave me and it's for a company called Halo Branded Solutions.
What can we do to get this lady from calling?

That just happened to me. She said her name was Sarah Smith with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. She had what sounded like a Pilipino accent and wanted to know if we found a location. I asked her why the Chamber of Commerce wants to know and she said something about updating something. The connection wasn't clear, plus her accent made it difficult to understand. What do these people want, I wonder.

Caller: "This is the California Chamber of Commerce and we would like to know if you have moved or if you're still looking for office space."
Me: "I'm not sure, sir. Would you like to speak to the manager?"
Caller: "All we want to know is if you moved.
Me: "I don't have that information, but I can transfer you to the office manager to leave a message."
Caller: (raising his voice) "DON'T transfer me to voice mail. I just want to know if you moved."
Me: "I'm transferring you, sir."
(Caller calls again seconds later)
Caller: "Yeah, DON'T TRANSFER TO VOICE MAIL."
Me: "Sir, is there a specific person you spoke to? You asked, 'Are you still looking for office space?' then I am assuming you've been contacted by someone in our office, so do you have a name?"
Caller: "Just answer the question: Are you moving?"
Me: "I don't know."
Caller hung up. I love messing with people like this.

Spam call asking if you're "still planning on moving ... have you found a new location yet". CallerID fake, not coming from the "State of Minnesota Department of Commerce", or even the USA. Asked who our Secretary of State was, she didn't know, asked if she knew who the US Sec of State was, didn't know that either. Junk. This is a phishing call. You should add "Phishing" to the call type.

We receive a call from this number daily.  They say they are Mary from the Washington Business Administration.  Wanting to know if we have moved or found a new place to move to.  They have been asked to take our number off the list. They have been hung up on, they still call.  Today they hung up on me when I told her I was tired of her wasting my time.
