An unknown number called me followed by a voicemail by a man named Paul. Said he had papers for me to sign for a legal action against me. Said he would be at my house in the hour which he called at 1:28pm. Left voicemail with a number to call back with a time to schedule me to sign papers. Also, said he would call my relatives and place of employment. In fact the same voicemail called my dad around the same time I got this voicemail. Called police and reported.

Same thing, this time it was a guy named "Eric Wright" and he had sealed legal documents for me to sign and that he would be at my address within the hour, and that if I wasn't home, he would try my relative's addresses...

I just received a call from a blocked number. She said she was from United Carrier Service and gave me the  number above to call, along with a reference number,  if I wasn't going to be home to receive the parcel within the next two hours. She said the delivery driver  will require a signature and a witness to receive the parcel.
It sounds very complicated for something that could be sent by certified mail.

These case numbers are never those of your local court system.  If they are anything but part of their scare tactics, they are internal to their company and may or may not uniquely ID whatever they are calling you about.

Ok so before I went on here to check the number 888-200-4593 I called and left a voicemail for the "Paul Richards" next day got a call back from a 888-396-6940 number.  The representative named Kenneth Davis is with  Dakota Management LLC,  Stating that the man who is looking for me was going to serve me papers for a credit card debt from 2017 originated from Credit One. If I dont make an agreement to make payments to settle they will garnish my check's. On the phone they gave me my balance and last four of my social. Asked for my debt card information. Told them I didn't have that info with me, he said he will call monday for it will not charge it but needed it for a promise to pay. In the meantime will send an email of what my payments will look like with all the info. I reviewed the PDF file looks pretty legit but a few red flags is 1) At the bottom of the letter it provides yet another phone number to reach them at (833) 748-3651. 2) I googled the name Dakota management LLC and nothing has appeared except a property company. 3) The address provided on the PDF file is in Chicago the man on the phone said he was in Delaware. 4) Everyones comments above.

1st of all, real process servers don't call in advance.
2nd of all, emails are not a legal method of debt validation.
3rd of all, did you recognize the debt listed in the email?
4th of all - and most important - never simply pay someone who calls claiming you owe money! Always demand they follow the law bymailing you proof of the debt. That's mail, not email. The debt validation also needs to prove they're legally entitled to collect said debt.

A woman named Ann Taylor left a voicemail on my cell and my husbands voicemail. She stated that she was a courier and had sealed legal documents to deliver to my husband.  He had to be at our residence between 12-1pm, with his ID and a witness to sign the documents. If he was not home, she would go to a family members home. She left me a case number. I looked up the case number with the court system and it is an old closed case with someone elses name on it. So I called the 888-200-4593 number she gave me and the lady who answered refused to give me any information unless I gave her my husbands date of birth and social security number. I refused and told them to take my number off of whatever list they were calling from.  She said they didnt call me so there was nothing that she could do.  I told her that was the number provided to obviously she knows something about it, so she told me to have a good day and to never call HER office back again.

    Yea...sounds so legit. NOT!
