We offer a legitimate service to customers to switch their electric/gas supplier to get a discount on a utility bill the customer has to pay anyway. Do some research before you deem a company a "scammer" just because they make an outbound telephone call.

What makes you appear to be a scammer is the way your representatives leave their messages.  I received 2 phone calls from someone stating to be 'Elizabeth Proctor'...yet the two women had completely different voices.  Then they proceed to say they are calling about my NJ Natural Gas Account, which is very misleading...and I'm sure very intentional.  So, if your company is so "legit" then why be so sneaky in the messages that are left? Hmmm? Makes one wonder.  If I can't trust what you tell me on an answering machine message, why would I trust you with something as important as switching my utilities over to you?  I think NOT.

LJM- Again please do some research on what we are even calling about before you deem us scammers. Here is a link on YOUR utilities website informing about the program which we are calling about. Telemarketers get a bad wrap bacause of many bad companies out there selling whatever they can to make a profit. I understand completely because I don't even answer my own phone when I am at home at night because I don't want to hear the same old song and dance about lawn treatments, newspaper companies, magazine sales etc. We stay in business by offering lower rates for customers. If we were in business to scam customers, we would not have a business. The link is posted below so you can do some research on the program and feel free to call us anytime to get protection against rising Natural Gas/Electric costs. 1-888-203-3441.

Mike, If you're so legit then why are you calling phone numbers on the Do Not Call listing??? If you want me to even consider you, mail me the info. Never, Never bother me on the phone. If that is not how you wish to do business.... enjoy listening to my phone mail answering system and spending your money calling me. I don't respond to ANY TELEMARKETING service regardless if they are legit or not; and if they can save or steal my money. I don't like doing any kind of business with your type. GET A REAL JOB.

My company just received our 3rd or 4th call from these people a few minutes ago. They are extremely rude and pushy, they don't have any of their facts straight, and they don't take no for an answer. It doesn't matter if they are legit or not (they DO come across as scammers, though)...who on earth would want to deal with this company anyway?

Yes, they are sneaky indeed!    This 888 203-3441 called me today (9/20).     Little do they know.... my business has various billings............. except for Electric, in which they had a 'need' to talk to me about......giving one the impression that one is LATE with pymts.    LOL         We've never had electric power in my business -
I've already reported this to:  dncconsumerinquiry2@ftc.gov

I've heard from 'another source' they're 'closing in'  on this 'solicitor'
This is NOT a company at all, so I'm not sure what the others in this 'forum' are talking about, regarding 'cheaper' and whatnot.
This is very much illegal so they will be eventually summoned to trial.
My business 'currently' is NOT pressing charges- although we've gathered and 'reported'  at least two phone numbers that were reported to me.    By the way..........I'm the 'Owner' of this business, but that has nothing to do with this problem-

Wow! You people are morons! I am familiar with DEREGULATION....this is and WILL occur in ALL states. When this does...you will be given the option to CHOOSE your own supplier for gas and/or electric....the utility company DELIEVERS the product to you...but someone has to SUPPLY it to them!
Because of this (hey..FYI...gas & electricity is a commodity being sold on the open market...like coffee or oranges...you want to be able to shop around for the lowest price, right?) SOMEONE has to call you and make you aware of THEIR company and what THEY can offer you! Is it a "sales attempt"? DUH...YES...just like oranges or coffee.....and, if you did the research, you'll see that the company calling you just MAY be a cheaper option.  again....MORONS!

I got numerous calls from this number, never leaving a message until today.   The voicemail said it was Jeremiah from the FCC calling about my Duke Energy Bill, and to call him back at the 888 number with his extension.     From the other posts here, they are trying to get me to change my gas/electric supplier.     I already have electric and gas aggregation in the township where i live and the rate is lower than anything else on the PUCO's apples-to-apples comparison website, plus there is a charge if i switch out of my current provider since it is a timed-contract.    http://www.puco.ohio.gov/puco/index.cfm/apples-to-apples/

I received a call, the Caller ID number was 309-319-9959.  The caller identified himself as "Jeremiah," calling about my Ameren Energy bill, and asked me to call him back at 888-203-3441, x1238.

However, he called on my business line (which has an obvious business voicemail message), and did not clearly identify what company he was calling from.

I bought in for a company like such. I later found out that is was a pyramid scheme like Market America. At first you would save the customer money in the first year with the customer locked in to a contract. After about a year the premiums fluctuate in an increase to support the 3rd party private energy providers services. In the end it will be no different than your current energy premiums. In my eyes, the individual who came up with the idea is genius. however, does the economy really benefit from this company? I would have to stick with the big... N-O.

Not sure if this is a legitimate sales offer, but the current rate for my electricity is $0.143 and Jalessa Blackshear offered $0.124 for one year.  There are two strange things about the call:  to cancel MA Gas & Electric as suppliers I have to give one month's written notice anytime after the contract expires and during the electronic confirmation process, the computer wanted a power of attorney to view my NStar billing.

They are on the alternate supplier list, so I'll keep a watch on my account, but I think they are probably okay.

My wife received a call from a Samantha Williams at 1-888-203-3441 concerning our energy supplier and the supposed rate increase we will be receiving if we don't shop around for a better deal.  My wife took the bait and said yes without consulting me, the owner of the account.  I tried to contact South East Energy and got shunted over to a general voice mail box. with no success of contacting this Samantha to determine the real costs and information so I can make a real informed choice.  Being the owner of the account and having not approved of any changes to my bill or services, if any unauthorized changes are made to the account, South East Energy is in violation of several state and federal laws which carry heavy penalties.  All i want is to be contacted and given the facts to make an informed decision, not have someone call my wife and twist her into saying yes when she has no authority to do so.  I placed a call and requested contact.  now I'm calling my utility company and freezing the accounts.
