They called stating that they are fro JCP&L and they want to offer me a plan to lower my bill. SCAMMERS Liers.

Beware, this company is about as legit as a three dollar bill.  A few months ago they called and talked to my wife, they asked for the account number of our provider which my wife gave them.  They automatically switched our service to them without our permission and we had to get it switched back.

If you aren't interested in what they have to offer DO NOT give them any information they could use to switch you over.

This is not the way a legitimate company would operate.  Beware!

The mature, polite, female was almost convincing and offered:  switch to 0.06690 rate, 12% discount on highest month, no contract, fees,cancel anytime...but said they weren't just trying to make money by changing rates.?? What are they in business for ?? No thanks, sounds crazy.

They called, offering a $50 a month gift card if I pay my natural gas bill on time each month.    They said that I would still be with Consumer’s Energy and that there was a law in Michigan passed and that I was missing out on what the law provided.  They said that they would have variable rates just like Consumer’s.  He said all he needed was my account number.  I told him I would speak with Comsumer’s first and got his contact information.  I called Consumer’s and the lady explained:  Consumer’s own the gas lines, so I would still receive a bill from them.  This company would be filling Consumer’s tanks with the natural gas and Consumers would pay that company for the gas.  There is a Michigan law that says customers can choose their gas provider.  So far, the call was truthful.  Here is the catch:  if you stick with Consumers to provide gas, they sell it to you at their cost - this year it has fluctuated between $2.85 and $3.38 a unit.  This other company MIGHT provide you low costs for a set period of time, maybe even lower that Consumer’s,  but after a period of maybe 12 months, they might raise the rate to a crazy high price ($8 to $10 a unit)  unless you remember to call and renegotiate.  It could work out for you if the rates stay below $2.85, or it could come back to bite you in the butt if it goes up to an insane rate,  Buyer beware.  If in doubt, call your gas provider.

Be aware that once you give them your account information, you have given them permission to switch you over.  You will have 30 days to switch back at no charge.  If you were convinced to switch without the whole truth, give your gas company a call quickly to reverse.

Been calling me ateast 2 times a day for a few weeks now.  I blocked the number.   I never answer a number I don't know,  but the amount of calls are rediculous.😡
