I received a call about debt forgiveness and want to know if it's legitimate

No they’re not.

I received a call stating not to pay any of my debt, they had options for me.

I also received this message with instructions to not pay my debt and to call whoever (female voice) to call the cumber back. Or to reach the lady back call the number she called from whose was 803-658-3679 and select option 3. No name was given regarding who to call back or the company to call.

"...Has been placed in a non-collectible status. Meaning you no longer have to pay them back. We highly advise you not to pay any more of your deck until we discuss your action. Once again call us back at telephone number 888-209-8221 or reach me on my direct line at extension 3. By calling the number that showing on your caller ID. Thank you for your time and I look forward to helping you soon."
