- Kaiser Member from Hawaii| 2 repliesI received several calls from this 888-210-3037 claiming to be Kaiser's Financial office. I was annoyed because I have no outstanding payments on my account and even when I was in Kaiser in person, I would ask if I owed any money. I called the number and they asked me for my birth date. I put in a fake birth date and immediately the agent came on line and wanted to get that information from me. I told the person that this sounded strange and I would not be giving them any information. The entire call sounded like a phishing call but the lady on the phone said to go to kp.org to find out what the financial issue was. That was tricky becasue if I had not had phishing training I may have gone on to give some person information, but I stopped. Hung up. Went on to kp.org and could not find anything. I sent an email and then saw the Live Chat option. I went on a Live Chat on kp.org to find out if the number was legit and the Live Chat person was terrible. I asked if the number was legitimate several times and each time the person said they were researching it. They gave me the local Hawaii finance office number. But I persisted in wanting to know if the 888-210-3037 was legit. The Live Chat person from Kaiser came back and confirmed that it was legitimate number for their finance office. I was shocked when I did a simple google search to discover that the number was being used in a phishing scam. That Live Chat person needs to be fired. This was an extremely dangerous Live Chat person to actually encourage me to call back the phishing scam.

- Kaiser (Hawaii)| 5 repliesThis number came up as "Potential Spam" from Hilo, HI. I answered it and asked for a number to call back. I called the Kaiser number listed on their website and I got the same person who called me from the Potential Spam number. She said that they're a 3rd party billing department that handles billing for Hawaii Kaiser Permanente members, so the number does look like it's a spam call, even if it's not. If you get a call from this number, just use your KP app to settle bill payments and they won't call you again.
- Caller: 3rd-party billing for Kaiser Hawaii members
- BigA replies to Kaiser (Hawaii)| 4 repliesThis is what you want us to believe? You received a call from this number which is toll free and not a Hawaii area code, correct? So you went to their website after asking for a call back number, correct? You then called the number on their website which I guess would have been the one under "Member Services" since I can't find anything else that would be close, correct? That number immediately put you in contact with a billing company not associated with Kaiser, correct? Hmm, usually when I call a hospital, doctor, or insurance company I get put right through to them and not someone else. Can you explain this for me because right now you are looking a lot like a lying, scamming shill.
- Nimrod replies to BigA| 2 repliesI wonder if this "Kaiser (Hawaii)" is the same "Kaiser Member from Hawaii", that posted in January, claiming that they were told by Kaiser representative this number is legitimate.
- Tygerkat replies to NimrodI was wondering the same thing.
- BigA replies to NimrodYes, both definite scamming lying trash trying to steal from people
- MichelleGot a bill from this "scammer" looking like a Kaiser Permanente bill. Even had my patient number on it, and the number came up as "Kaiser Permanente." I'm actually a Kaiser provider, and the bill, while very authentic looking, was missing some normal elements and the billing address was not in a place where I know Kaiser has offices. Plus, I pay my accounts in full and rarely go to the doctor. Total Scam.

- Another HI Kaiser Member replies to Kaiser Member from Hawaii| 1 replyI have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks now (Oct-Nov 2023). Luckily, I saw this post. The recording sounds very legit. A lot of people will be duped. I too was confused because I am up to date on bills, but they stated I could get a discount which made it enticing to call, but luckily this person wrote this review. I feel bad for the elderly and anyone that does not follow up before calling. This is why I hate that most companies use DOB as a means to look up up. It's ridiculous that private info has become normalized as your ID that we give it out like candy.
- BigA replies to Another HI Kaiser MemberYour date of birth is public record. Nothing can be done with it.
