Someone called and asked for my daughter(a minor).  They knew her mane and they said they were from a modeling agency.  I want to know how they got her name and phone number.  Please help if you can.

They are a modeling agency. My daughters went there too. They make your daughter audition and they make you pay for that schooling money after the audition. It will ask for your daughter to dress nicely bring two photos of her. Then after auditions you are required to give $1000-9000 bucks. I suggest you question your daughter if she signed up but consider the result before you go.

OMG, they JUST called mee! I know i have signed up for stuff like this and i got audition calls before but honestly i stopped that like a year ago! They asked for me but pronounced my name wrong so i said it wasn't me. Is this te one where they say someone from "hollywood" is in toronto and are here to hold auditions?

Erm yeh i just got a call to - im only 15 because i text to a certain number about an audition and about an hour later i got a call from someone in america and i live in england.
Now that i have read this i will be sure not to give any details because i lost signal on my phone and the line went dead. Now i know not to pick up the phone if they call again.

I just got a call too, plus one a few weeks ago. I have contacts with casting agents, but I think this is a scam. I have been in movies with small roles and now I get this number about every two to three weeks.

I received this call today @ 9:19. I was on the other line with my mom so I didn't click over, but when I got off the phone I tried to call the number back and the recording said thank you for calling & hung up. So, I decided to google the ph#. It's weird because there's some type of model/actor search in my area for kids 4-17 years old that I signed my 5 year son to go 2 but I changed my mind after talking tona co-worker who told me it's a scam. beware of this scam trying 2 get you to pay m0ney for class for you child. Don't know who this company is or what they do but they have tryed to call me about 5 time.  Thankfully, I have missed all there calls. I am hoping that they will go away! Based on feedback from this website, it's a SCAM!  Remember the number and don't answer!

I just got a call from this agency as well. They asked to speak to my parents..... I'm 27 years old. I asked what they were calling in regards to, and they said they had to speak to my parents. They then preceded to tell me that they received this number from someone who recommended me and my number. I asked them who the person was, and after much hasseling they told me. The guy who gave them my number was someone I went to high school with and did a few shows with. He gave them my number and said I might be interested in working with them. WRONG. It was a total scam, and the person talking to me on the phone was inappropriate and rude. I asked for them to take my number off the list and not to call back.

OMG. My mom recieved a phone call from that number like 5 mins ago and they asked for me.. she said ONE MOMENT PLEASE (maybe they didnt understand because she cant really speak english) and when I said "HELLO" they hung up.

I KNOW.. WHAT THE HELL. then I read all these posts about how its a MODELING AGENCY!... and maybe it is because I signed up for it and my friend got in but I thought I didnt... so ITS FREAKING ME OUT :|

I received a call from tha number also,  pretended I was They knew my name when they called me and then I asked who is calling then he hung up on me!! I called the number back and it said thank you for calling and hung up on me again!

Has anyone checked out this phone number with their agency? Like I'm with an agency in Toronto and I think I'll phone them to find out what's really going on, they would know if it was a scam right?

I was listening to a radio station and they said if you want to model call this number. So, I did but it was a different number than the one that called me. I then got a missed call today during school. It was this number with a message left. The message was blank except near the end there was some sort of noise. I then called them back and all it said was "Thanks for calling" and then hung up. It was probably just a scam and I will never do that again.

Thanks for alerting us about this scam!!!!   THey phoned our home too and left a message with no modelling agency name!  Sounds very suspicious...  We will ignore them.

yeah, i went to jon robert powers for a year. its a modeling and acting agency.
i believe this is where they got my information.
it is a scam.
i miss modeling and acting so much, but thanks to JRB i wasted to much money to ever try again, so my mom just hung up on them....

AGENCY!! duhh they arent stolckers!

i went to the galleria in houston last weekend, and there was a nickelodeon star and if you wanted an autograph, you had to give you number and name and stuff to them, and so today i got that call where they said they are from that thing and they need to talk to my host mum, but she wasnt there... so then i read all the stuff here and i dont think i will tell her about that call at all... just ignore it...
