Seems Mr Howell called looking for me with a case number. Wow they only call 3 times a day and leave a voicemail every other month. If it was a big case they would of actually told me last year when they started to call bunch of bottom feeders it looks like

PERSON CONTINUES TO CALL FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE AT THIS ADDRESS

My husband received a call from emerson abbott, claiming that they were about to sue us but that he could work out a settlement. The settlement that they worked our was considerably lower than what the suit was for. However mr abbott said that either he or his secretary would send me an email confirming the terms of the agreement. I have received no such email. When I called back the first time the secretary answered, got extremely defensive and hung up on me when I wouldn't give her my husband's ssn. I called again and she was marginally more polite when I explained that I was just verifying that they were a legitimate entity.  I checked my email again and still no information. I called back again today and spoke with mr. abbott, he was belligerent and rude to me, I told him that we have the money but that I wanted some confirmation from them before I sent them anything and he hung up on me, I called back and he told me that he was tired of playing my games and that if I didn't wire the money by oct 31 that my husband's paycheck would be short on the first. If this is a legitimate debt collector I will be happy to pay this money, however as they have given me no confirmation, I am hesitant to send them anything.

I totally relate to everything you are saying. He just left me a message telling me that since I left him a message at 12am I was too big of a coward to deal with my problems and he was going to sue me. I told him to go after my deadbeat ex husband for whatever it was. My blood pressure was through the roof and I was shaking so bad I couldn't even type. The number showing up on my phone was 1-800-214-7837. Just an fyi for you if you are still having problems. That is another number he uses I guess. Believe me my nerves are still shot right now and I am dealing with a host of issues as well. This "man" if you want to call him that should not only be fired he should never be allowed to work in collection or whatever the heck it is he does other than hide behind a phone line harrassing people. I gave him my ex's number but I know he won't call him because if it is in fact for a collection everything was in my name b/c my ex's credit was shot. Not mine is too thanks to him.
I worked in the financial industry and know all about these guys and he's messed with the wrong person this time. We're doing a little more research and getting a lawyer to get him to stop harrassing me.

Same here. He made me so mad I'm shaking and my blood pressure is sky high. I really think this is a scam because I can't find anything out on him. I do have some things that were repossessed thanks to my deadbeat ex husband but they of course are not calling him, They are calling me and upsetting me. His latest message told me I was a coward who wouldn't face my problems and pay my debts and I needed to stop living in the past. What all that meant I do not know.

just had call said he was emerson abbott  to call him back before 5pm @ 469-453-8434 or he will start garnishment procedures. when I asked what was about he hung up on me!!!

emerson abbott called and left a VM and then called my cell phone moments later, saying it was regarding a credit card debt from 2001. I mentioned I wasn't sure what he was talking about. There was no usual any info collected can be used to collect a debt... he just mentioned the debt had been bought and they were trying to collect and would report to the credit agencies.

Emerson Abbott in my opinion likes animals in an intimate way. he tried to engage me in conversation about gerbiling, and said he could make arrangements to pay off my debt if I dressed my llama in a thong and brought it and a monkey to his office.  He was very adamant that I could rapidly reduce my debt by repeated gerbil/fisting and gerbil fisting.  When I told him I was 12 years old, he seemed very excited, but couldn't explain why he was calling about a 14 year old debt.   I guess my foetus is on the hook for some gerbil debt payment.  Also, he smells.
