god you did not answer.  There is a virus that locks up computers and says you have to call this number to get it unlocked.  They are trying to get your passwords and money

This message came up on my laptop and said I would lose everything onn my computer if I did not call them.. So I did.  This guy, "Hitesh Sama", thick Indian accent, insisted Norton covers only viruses but not internet connections ans that my computer is royally hacked and has been for years.  When I gave him my name he said it was beautiful a beautiful name and asked my age.!!! Red Flags!!!. He also asked how much I spent on my computer. The problem is he got into my computer as we talked. www.gotoassist.me .When my husband then came on the phone and asked for more details he wouldn't give them, only said he was a senior Microsoft security officer.  We hung up and my computer is OK. But I'm concerned what damage might have been done in the meantime.  This is bad!

Me too. I got with GeekSquad right away. Cybercrime is up. So are jobs in that area. Intend to not be a victim or anything like one. Grateful this board is here.
