Received a call providing notice of a "civil suit".

Could not provide me ANY information, very suspicious.

Received a call of pending "civil suit". Provised a file number, and said if call not returned with in 24 hours, my address and place of employment would be confirmed and action would be taken. When I called, the phone was answered as "Davis and Consultants"

I received a message from someone with a blocked number which stated I needed to contact Davis and Associates within 24 hours or face a law suit. I called and they were very rude and refused to give me anything in righting stating what the alleged debt was for or that it would be paid in full. I told them without confirmation in righting I could not be sure that I actually owed the money. After much verbal abuse from their side they hung up on me so I called back. After some more abuse they hung up again. I called back and another person answered and I ask for their address after a few minutes on hold I was given an address and told to never call back. The address was not a real address.
Note: always get an offer in righting on any debts before paying them and receipt showing you did pay according to the offer, it is necessary to get the debt off credit reports.

This caller under this phone number, called my work and speak to my supervisor, told my supervisor that If I don't call them back, they will serve me and file a law suit against me! Calling me at work and threathening me like that? is that legal???

They just called my place of employment as well, told them that there will be some "legal documents" delivered here and I need to pick up the documents myself or provide a different address so as not to have an officer bring them and disrupt the office. When I called back the guy said that I will be receiving a 1099-C for unpaid credit card debt. I told him to please remove my work number from their database. He informed me that they "will not be removing anything, and they will "see me in court" and then hung up on me. Very rude! But apparently they can file this type of form with the IRS because your unpaid debt is considered income!

Had the same thing happen. I recieved a message that said a suit was being filled against me. The caller left a phone # and file # 274571. I called the # back and a woman answered. She had my full name last 4 of my social and my birth date. She stated that I owed 18,000.00 on a charge card and to save my credit she needed a payment right now. She was very rude I told her I know this is a scam as I don't have any charge card debt. At that point she hung up on me.

I've received the same phone call this morning at work. They ask to see if they could mail a legal documentation to my place of employment or at residential. But I have to sign for it. Told them to not call at work and need to have the number remove. They want me to call them to set up some sort of delivery option.
