Public Service Co of Oklahoma, calling to let me know that the power was out this morning temporarily

This number keeps calling & no one is there.  Not even a recording.

Since there is no answer when you call, this could very well be someone spoofing the PSO number.  There have been news reports saying someone has been making calls in the name of PSO demanding "immediate payment or your electricity will be cut off."  They usually want payment in some kind of untraceable form such as a prepaid debit card.  I suggest that you call PSO at the number on your bill to see if there is a problem with your account.

I have received a call 2 times in 2 days from this number.

PSO notifying you that they will be in your neighborhood installing DIGITAL SMART READER on your house.  Please do the research and OPT OUT of these intrusive smart readers.  Refuse to let them be installed at your house.

They let me know that my electric service will be shut off because of lack of payment.  I told her thanks for letting me know and hanged up.

PSO in Oklahoma does not let you opt out. You go to their site and it says their is not an opt out option

It is PSO/AEP recording to let you know that your new "Smart Meter" is due to be installed in your neighborhood shortly.  No person on the other end, just a brief recording.  If you received the letter from PSO informing you of the pending installation, this number and the telephone number listed on the letter are the same.
