Called a relative that had an unlisted number.

called my mother house in a different state and left threathening messages. about serving papers. If this was a true bill collector they would have my phone number and address

Josh Wright called, telling me someone has a claim against me and gave me this number to call.

888 219 6813 called and left threating message on machine. It was for my daughter who doesnt even live with us anymore.  They said there was a claim against her and she had only 1 opportunity to contact them and verify her info. They said at the end that she had "been officially notified."
I am going to contact the Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster's office.

I think that they said they were World Credit.

Somebody named Ann Larson called me from that number and threatened to take away my kids. What a sicko. She said that she worked for Worldwide.

Received a call from Josh Wright again from 616-965-8928. Called me 16x at work. Told me he had papers to serve me and that I was being charged with defrauding a company. I called 888-219-6813 and spoke to a woman who explained she was representing East Side Lenders and that I had papers that needed to be served to me. I asked her to please serve them to me at my residence. Gave her my address. She sounded suprised that I didnt want to resolve the matter over the phone by giving her my credit card info. I told her to serve me the papers. She responded by wishing me luck in court and hung up the phone. That was two days ago. I'm still waiting for papers. These people are disgusting.

I just saw your post and realized I totally have been scammed!!!  I took a loan out with Eastside Lenders but I failed to pay it back.  Lately, I have been receiving phone calls from 619-489-2858 and they must have called me about 20 different times.  They claim they are handling an past due account for Eastside Lenders.  
They explain that if I don’t make a payment that I will be served with documents and that I will end up being arrested…well I freaked out so like a dummy I made a payment to them of $150 dollars.  I just realized that I have been scammed.  Do you have any advice on how to stop the harassing phone calls???

Hey Scorpio1116,

I finally got the calls to stop completely by calling 888-219-6813, telling them that I was not paying them a dime, giving them my residential address and asking them to serve me the papers they kept alleging they had. If you do this, I guarentee they will not call you anymore. They will be really rude to you over the phone, and wish you well in court. Dont let them fool you. They are all talk. I'm still waiting for them to serve me the "papers".
