Company is Santander Consumer USA Inc - 888-222-4227 - This company called me because I was a reference listed by someone on a auto loan and they were trying to get ahold of them for a past due bill.  As I was speaking to this lady to find out what all this was about she was very rude and demanded to know who I was and if I could relay a message for the account holder to call them regarding a past due bill.  I had to inform this minimum waged, uneducated hill billy that it wasn't my job to do theirs and for her and her company not to call me again because they can't reach someone.

i have received two calls from this number for people who are not at this phone number

is there a way to remove my phone number from their database

keeps leaving a message even though they have the wrong number. My voice mail clearly states my name an its not even remotely close to the person they are trying to reach.

I left my husband in 2003.  Now in 2011 I'm getting harassing calls because they need to get in touch with him.  When I asked them to remove me from their call list, they still keep calling.  And I guess I will continue to ignore the calls.

Ok I have read through pages and pages of people complaints. And all of you are right. unfortunately there is "NOTHING" you can do. I don't think I need to repete my self and say that again.

They one thing that I know that I have already done is I went to the web site and changed my numbers. The second thing is that i Mail my payment. Because I am not giving them anymore money. $10 to pay online or on the phone. That is $120 that I am not giving them any more. I owe less that $3500.

I am doing every thing that I can to pay this off as soon as I can. But with kids in college, a divorce and a mortgage payment I don't need the calls every hour on the hour from 3 different numbers that is how they get by with all those calls to everyone of us.


I have a friend who works at a collection agency and she told me that they have someone go to these types of web sites and monitor what is being said about them and just laughs at all of us. That is what I think is so sad about our world today.

some foreigners call here every few days----I cant understand them-----then they call back 20 minutes later and start making threats-----We both lost our jobs and they are threatening to come out and take the car back----we tried to explain the situation and they hang up------20 minutes later they are calling again========this is pure harrassment-----I am terminally ill and require lots of rest---they could care less---call back again in 20 minutes..........etc..........

many calls (automatic voice) asking for robert adams. cannot tell them no r. adams at this number! so i called their number as asked. and got a VERY SEXY throaty voice asking me to call,get this, 800 666 1234! tried to report to AT&T got a runaround and very stipid letter in the mail today. my guess is R< ADAMS owes a bundle!

I didnt know that this number was Santander it called while i was at work, so didnt answer. But I am surprised by all the comments that people have posted. I have Santander and they have worked with me during hard times and everything. Not saying that what everyone is saying is not true. I believe you. Because i have deal with maybe two rude individuals. but the rest have been helpful. I hope everyone gets everything straightened out

To everyone that has to deal with these idiots good luck.  I hope you the best,  I just made my last payment!!!  They have been a nightmare to deal with.  According to everything I have read it will more than likely take forever to get the title to the vehicle.

I send my payments to them before the due date even arrives. I get calls from them atleast 3-4 times a day, without a VM left. I called the number back and it was automated. I'm not sure why they would keep calling if they receive their payments before or on time monthly.

Called looking for someone I don't know....left a message.  Will not call back...SCAM.  I don't have any bills other then utilities every month.

Often have trouble paying on time, Times are tough but calling 8-10 times a day gets old even after you have allowed them to know when your payment will be sent. and most of the time when I anwser the phone it tells me to hold for an important call and then it hangs up ,,, ughhhh. they will not stop calling... asking for someone I do not know.. I talked to a superviser and they  said that they will stop...well  they never did .. got a lawyer  ,,( they stopped  $500.00 to stop them)

My loan has been paid in full with them for over a month! I don't even have the car anymore!  I have told them this over and over again and they still call me everyday saying I need to make a payment. I even have a print out from their website showing a zero balance which I faxed back to them and they still call!

This is harassment! The worst part is that I didn't have my initial loan through them, they just brought out the company. The original company was a pleasure to do business with

My father has a loan that was bought out by this sham of a company. They have been harrassing me, and several other family members that he listed as references when he bought his car. I live in another state, and my father does not currently have a phone, he calls from payphones or friend's houses when he can. My father was recently laid off, and I am aware that he is behind on his payments. I have repeatedly told them that I do not live with him and have very little contact with him and to please stop calling. I have repeated my rights as a consumer (even though I am not the consumer in this transaction) and have threatened legal action if they do not stop calling.

This company repeatedly violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and I will be reporting them to my State's Attorney General as well as the FCC. I suggest that all of you do the same. i am only 7 days past due and never got a letter for my bill WTF!!!! I just bought this 04 mustang back oct 7 2011 and now i am past due for a bill i never got what do i friken do? THEY CALL OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN DAY IN AND DAY OUT what do i do?

I am glad I read these posts because I was really wondering who this number was through. I just got a car (a week ago), and they have been calling since I got the car. I don't even have a payment due until December. Very strange!

Have you had any luck with filing the lawsuit against them?  I too live in Florida and follow the same path of harrassment.  I'm tired and emotionally drained from these people and want to file against them, we all need to take and stand and put them under.
