they called my home and left a message for me to call them back.they said they were a law office and her name was jill simspon.

They left a message stating my name and that her law office asked her to call because there a legal issue pending against me.  Also left a reference number. Curious to see if anyone else has gotten the same call.

Its a collection agency.

I recieved the same call. My Caller ID stated 'Unknown Number' and I don't answer those numbers. The message stated that there was a legal matter pending and there was a reference number. I'm guessing it's some sort of collection agency. I'm uninsured and have a mountain of unpaid medical debt that will never get paid. So they can just keep on trying to milk the stone.

THIS IS A SCAM....... My son received a  phone call from this number.  The message left was from a woman named Jillian Simpson stating that she was calling about a pending legal matter.   He called back and got a voice mail.  She made another call to him which he was able to answere.  The woman (Jillian Simpson) said she was a lawyer in NY collecting $500 on a rented book he did not return to St Cloud State University last year.  She did not give a firm name or company name; just that she was a lawyer in NY.  

She tried to get personal information from my son - none of which he gave.

He BOUGHT AND PAID upfront for his books and did NOT rent any books.  I called St. Cloud State to confirm that he did not owe them anything and was told he had a ZERO balance and owed NOTHING.  Was told to ignore and report phone calls.

I just received a call from this number with the name of Jillian Benson.. shes changing her last name.

She claimed her name was crystal moroney and that I owed money on a bad check and that I have two weeks to come up with the money or else they'll take action. Then she said good luck! I knew not to believe this broad

I have gotten 2 calls from this number, 1 time today and the other time a few months ago. I never answer strange numbers and let it go to voice mail which she left a message.  The lady states her name is Jillian Benton. She went on to say this is a law office and this is" not a scam" and that she has a very serious legal matter on a past dept. She stated that I know about this dept, which I have no clue that this lady is talking about. She never stated where this dept is from or how much it was or how she got this dept, She then stated that if I don't take voluntary action that this matter will turn in to a legal action tomorrow. I would not believe this lady. I don't trust anyone that calls me and threatens me, which this lady ever much did. I never have gotten any letters from this so called " law office" I have lived in the same place for 3 years and forwarded my address from my last address which I have lived there my whole life. I am about to block this number. I do not like how they call and threaten legal action. I believe this is a SCAM!!!!!!! NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR INFO OVER THE PHONE!!!!

I answered the second time an stated  " Good afternoon Internal Revenue Service, how can I help you"    Hummm Jillian hung up!  ..
