got a call from them was wondering who they are and are they legal or a scam? I get a lot of scam calls from different numbers all the time so just wondering if this one is to

Left a docket number and said a claim has been filed against me in my county.  Said to hit '9' for details.  I did not hit '9' and I am not late on anything.  I'm calling the county sheriff.

This is a debt collector that utilizes scare tactics to try to get money from you.  They are trying to tell me a took out a loan from EZ money services in 2012 from an address I have not lived at for over 5 years.    they said they traced the IP address there, they had letters from my bank saying i had the money and didnt attempt to pay it back.  Called my bank they stated they would never release that info without a court order.  They have said they are a county sherriff they are lawyers etc etc.  gave case numbers said I was going to be served and had a case already.   I have never heard of these people or this loan.   they told my husband when he asked them where they wanted to meet he was told in my bedroom...  Very unprofessional.  TOTAL SCAM!!!!
Website does not work!  The lawyer we were talking to was not a lawyer I asked if he was a lawyer he said he practices Pre law.... which is funny because anyone can practice PRE law but you have to be a lawyer to practice law.  HAHAHAHA

Got a call from this #. said they were the county sheriffs office. had a warrant. I would do some investigating before you do what these guys ask.

Got a call and message from "unknown." Message stated she was Deputy Sharon So-and-so calling in reference to "docket number" 1234...etc. Said they had criminal allegations, my bail was going to be $1500, that they were coming to get me that night, either at home or at my work, and that I would be held for 24-48 hours. She then said that if I had any questions to call the "filing complainants office" at this # and to reference my "case number" which just so happened to be the same number as my "docket number." Suspicious.

I am skeptical of the authenticity of this message because, besides the "docket number" and the "case number" being the exact same number, I'm pretty sure the cops don't call and warn you before they come and get you. The caller never said what city, county or department she was from; also, why would she tell me to call a debt collector's phone number if I had questions?

Lastly, I did not listen to the message until 3 days after I received it, I've been nowhere but work and home since then and no one has bothered to come pick me up in a police car.

Pretends to be attorney, goes by multiple names, threatens a high bail, suspended driver's license, says criminal charges are going to be filed.

1)  Please stop yelling.  We aren't deaf.
2)  This whole business smells bad.  You need to bone up on the FDCPA and learn what your rights are.  If this company/firm is authentic, they would know the FDCPA so that they can violate it thinking you aren't clued in.

This is def a scam. If you do not pay a payday loan they DO NOT TAKE YOU TO JAIL. They send it to a collection agency who then will try to collect the money but the repercussions are not that excessive. These people call with very aggressive practices trying to get your information.
