I got a text from “US Polling” from this number. They wanted me to fill out a survey. I did not hit the link.

I received one too and discarded.  Cannot locate if it is "official" or not.  One never knows.

Received the same text and I BLOCKED the number.

Probably malware or spam. The URL doesn’t resolve DNS.

Received a SCAM text message from 888-231-1968 - Claims to be from USPOLLING.NET - a website that isn't even working.

I got this exact text from this number and I don't know if it's a scam or not. I can't tell, so I didn't click the link. Not worth the risk. I copied the text. "Good afternoon from US Polling! Reply STOP to Opt-Out"

If it stinks and acts like a scammer, it's a scammer.

Have received TWO separate messages from this number asking to take part in a survey. How are these people getting cell phone numbers and doing this? How is this legal? These people need to be stopped. I am going to start finding out who they are and bill them.

Political calls and texts are legal as well.

US Polling Research, LLC. looks like a Republican Polling Scam Site.  They are using a fake address in Wyoming that is registered to a company called Registered Agents, Inc.  Take the survey at your own risk.  I would bet that you will get hit up for political donations at some point.

The ICANN registry information shows that uspolling.net looks like it's using Verisign for validation and using AWS for hosting... a ".co.uk" nameserver suggests it might even be partly hosted outside the US. Even using the WhoIs Privacy Service to mask actual ownership.

This is just the information I was looking for. Thanks for doing the research. Instinct told me this was a phishing expedition.

Same text message as the other reports. If you do text STOP, they will reply that you’ve opted out. For whatever that’s worth. I’ve blocked the number as well.
