Got a call from 888-231-5516 claims to be officer Ryan. Absolute scam phoned the police the last time they called. They say Revenue Canada dose not work that way.  Ignore all threats made by this guy.

Got a call from an Officer Ryan Smith claiming to work for Revenue Canada and saying that there was some tax fraud in our taxes.

This person just called, used forceful voice, said I or my lawyer should call, that I was being investigated for fraud.
Horrible! Checked the number against Revenue Canada's - no matches -a scam for sure.

Scam call from "Officer Ryan Smith" from Canada Revenue. Used very aggressive language and tone. Sounded Indian.

Just received the same message, same aggressive tone exact message. Apparently he doesn't realize people check these numbers.

Presented himself as Officer Ryan Smith of Revenu Canada.  Claimed to need to rectify a tax document. Asked me not to ignore his call otherwise my lawyer should get in contact with him!?!  What an ignorant person!

Same as above very aggressive caller, scam CRA uses many different number this it the third number.

Got this same Canada Revenue Agency tax fraud call.  I hardly think anyone in India is called Ryan Smith. Lol.  Call center noise in the back ground. Threatened with lawyer action if I didn't return the phone call.  Sounds very scammy.

I got this person called as well. He left the VM to me said me or my lawyer has to call me because he is a officer fro revenue Canada. The revenue Canada has to do something to stop this kind of scam or let the policemen to handle it.

had 2 messages left on home phone july 12/16 said i should call or my lawyer being investigated for fraud phone no. 1-888-231-5516,also got a call about a month ago but different phone number tied calling no. one ring and phone would hang up

Got a call from this same number and person he threatened to come to my house to arest me .lol bring in [***] head .

Officer Ryan Smith of Revenu Canada called and left a threatening message. I better not try and ignore his call and I should call him immediately.  Theres been tax fraud!! Since when did Revenue Canada start outsourcing to India and pakistan? I just worry about the elderly who fall for these scams.

Got three phone calls from this Ryan Smith saying I was being investigated for fraud. Left a rude message on my voice mail saying my lawyer should call him or I would be arrested.  Tried to call back and no one answered and no answering machine came on. I get a lot of these phone calls. Does anyone know how to stop this? I'm glad I checked and other people have had the same thing. It was an Indian accent as well.

Yeah, I got it as well, two voicemails from the infamous "Ryan Smith" with dubious accent.  Exact same message both times.  It would be funny if not for the fact that someone is going to fall for his scam.   I hope he calls back when I'm home so I can have some fun with him.

But seriously the laws about these things need to be stepped up big time in this country.  All "business" calls need to have both a name and number listed... just having some vague 1-800 number listed is useless -- does anyone even answer these no name calls anymore?  Tell your MPs we need better laws around this crap.

I got this Scam call and  I could not contain my laughter,, So I said I can pay the free of $ 1,650 by my credit card. I gave him a fake one and fake security code, and as soon as he tries to use it, he will get screwed  I had this Indian Pun Jab on the toll free line for over half an hour playing with his mind. I asked all these dumb questions and he got Irate and It drove him nuts. Scamming the Scammer.  I called him Osama Bin Laden's boyfriend and eventually he said the FBI is coming to my house (Right FBI IN Canada ?). So I said Oh do not do that, I will give you half now and Hump your Butt for interest and pay the balance a day later .where I will l pay  the rest. He got really mad as I laughed and laughed. He got fed up and he Hung up.. I now waiting for FBI to arrest me now.... HA HA HA HA HA. Play with them - it drives them Nuts and have a good laugh too... Be well all...      .
