caller hangs up when answered

I received a message on my work phone from 1-888-235-9513
No name was left. I called the number and the person that answered asked me for my full name, I then asked what he needed, he said this was a collection agency. I asked for my number to be removed, at this point he gave me other names of people that work at the same place I do. My question is why would this company be giving out names of other people to me?

I keep getting calls from this number.  No messages are left and they call sometimes three to five times a day, in  one hour intervals.

These are the rudest people, never a message, repeatedly call over and over again...Whne you do answer, they state please hold for a very important message...I always hang-up at that point...do not even know if they aare looking for you...and they don't have the decency to be o the other end...1 more payment on my car and I will never ever use this finance company ever again...no matter if I have to pay a higher interest rate or walk...My car should of been paid in November and they have added additional fees evry time I turn around...You schedule a payment and they call back again and again to make you change it

Caller was difficult to understand.  Figured it was National Auto Finance.  Car payment was 5 days late.

I made the car payment 9 days after original due date..Which still was on time since the late fee doesn't kick in until 14 days...Now These clown call all the time..I don't mind though I guess they are helping out the economy by putting bums to work..I know its paid on time my credit shows it so I don't care...I just don't answer the phone...HAHAHAHA

Very rude collection agency. They have called my home every single day since July 2010 looking for someone that used to have my phone number. When i asked them to remove my number, the calls increased. For eight months I've been bugged by some dummies looking for someone else. If they haven't found her in all this time, then they truthfully are stupid. The only resolve was to threaten to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Seems to have worked so far.

It is Nuvell,(Technically GMAC, which is now Ally) my wife has an acocunt with them. She had some problems back in 2008, and they worked with her to roll two months to the end of her loan. I was not aware of this at the time, and borrowed money from a friend to catch up. Since GMAC took the bail out, we have been getting constant calls from them. saying the loan is x number of days late (today it was 9, I was home to take the call, which does not make sense because it is due on the first with no grace, and it is the 13th). Six months ago, i demanded they send a statement of acocutn including payments and charges. I recived it and it shows that she is actually ahead just under two payments.  I called them about this, and they said that must be wrong, they are different departments. I told them they can come get the car, and we can meet in court. They still call from their outsourced call center multiple times a day (according to caller id, no message s left), but have not followed up on my request for them to seize the vehicle and meet me in court.

They are harrassers and nothiong more, one hand does not know what the other hand is doing.

Have seen several posts that this no. is for a collection agency/GMAC affiliate/Nat'l. Auto Finance/Nuvell (in its various incarnations), etc.

Received this call on my cell phone which - so far - only my husband & I have the number to (other than the co. that assigned it to us - ... hmmmm?).  They are probably just trolling phone numbers by computer in the hopes of snagging someone so that they hit paydirt!

I would suggest ignoring (and, if you can, blocking) the number unless you know of a legitimate reason for them to be calling you.

I have gotten four calls this morning alone from 888-235-9513.  I know who it is and why they are calling.
My son has a loan through them.  If he is one day late after the due date they start calling,  How many days do you actually have before you are REALLY late with a payment?  I thought you had a grace period of 10 days after the due date.

I just got a new cell phone 2 weeks ago and this number has called me 57 times since then.

Pay your car note on time and they won't have to call you to send the money in. DUH!!! Deadbeat.
