I just found a charge of $19.95 on my phone bill from WEB ECOMMERCE CO, INC-ISP/WEBHOST FEE.
I haven't had time to investigate this one but in the last month, I have had a cell phone bill problem, 3 phone bill problems and 2 banking problems.

I have charges on my phone bill too from this company. When I called the number I had to hold for a long time to talk to someone and then they told me that they are Payone just a billing company for web ecommerce and gave me another phone number and when I called that number I only got voicemail.

I called the 888-238-5295 number twice and the line just went dead, so I called my phone company (ATT).  They called the 888 number and got through to a human and had them talk to me.

The company provides high speed internet access (which I get through ATT already) and said that I must have signed up over the internet.  The woman was very nice about canceling my service and refunding my money (back to the phone company, so ignore the charge on my statement), considering the fact that they were essentially stealing my money and I never authorized it in the first place.

Good Luck, and I wish there was a way to punish these companies.  There should be a law against someone charging your phone service for anything they want to without anyones permission.  Last month the same thing happened on my cell phone.

    GREAT WHITE NORTH
Dito, I had a 19.95 charge on my phone and it came through my AT&T bill. AT&T will do nothing about it; they just say there billing you thru a third party. It's a scam. They hope you do not catch the charge or don't feel like sitting on the phone for 45 min. We are dumping AT&T. This is the 3rd scam we have had on our phone bill. This time it was for a web hosting company? They all should be stoned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats is the world coming too, when you cheat senior citizens.

    Questions?  Call: 1 888 238-5295
    1. 2-22 INTERNET COMMERCE CO-WEBHOST MTH FEE   $19.95

I tried calling the 888-238-5295 number and got a computer voice which recited my phone number and asked me to enter 1 if that was the number I was calling about.  I did and it said to hold for the next available representative, and it hung up the phone.  I tried 4 times yesterday and today and then I called AT&T and complained.  Their service rep tried it and got the same lack of response that I did, so she checked with her supervisor and removed the charges from my bill.

    Yay!  Something went right!

me to, twice from internet commerce co. They get your info when you fill out a survey

the first time i called them they said they'd give a credit which would show up in two months and gave me a cancellation number.

Well, it wasn't cancelled and when i called this time they said they do not give out cancellation numbers. They said they would give me credit for two months

I will be filling out a no scam, no cram form from ATT.

Meanwhile i will be calling the B B B and the Attorney general in the states of both Internet Commerce and PaymentOne

This should be illegal! I got a charge for $19.95 for something I've never ordered from a company I've never contacted and it's up to me to spend the time disputing this! I called them up and they said that a person (with a name I did not recognize) placed the order. They said they would credit me and cancel the account BUT how can they get away with this? They could do this on purpose since many people don't check their phone bills, I'm sure they make lots of money like this from people who do not complain. The burden of verifying an account before opening it should be theirs and not our job to prove that we did not open the account!
The line in my ATT said "CELEBRITY TRACKING"

I also found the same charge on my phone bill.  I got the exact same runaround.  Kind of ironic that at&t, with whom I have internet service, allows another internet service to bill through the same billing co.  I will make sure to call AT&T & let them know that this is irritating enough to cancel ALL MY SERVICES with them & go to another carrier.

this # is just a dead-end - no "live" person to handle the call. i saw a $19.95 fee from PaymentOne Corp. for "WEB ECOMMERCE CO, INC" and called the number listed.  recording also said it would transfer but line just went dead.  after several attempts, i called at&t. at&t said it would remove the service but that there was no 100% way of preventing this from happening again.  i guess it just means to vigilantly scan the phone bill from here on out.

    Bus to Bus hater
I was crammed by Business to Business too and waited on hold 25 minutes to get a live person.  Its pretty obvious that this is a scam, the representative read a script that covered how a block would be added to prevent Bus to Bus from adding charges to my bill in the future and to call back if the block did not work. I will also get my credit within 2 month. I never want to call back, since AT&T allows third party charges to be added to our bills, AT&T should not expect us to have to deal with the third party about the charges... AT&T should absorb the bad along with whatever good they get from providing billing services to this company.

Same here. I canceled my AT&T landline and next thing you know, my final bill included $19.95 charge for "Celebrity Tracking". I complained to AT&T and they said they can only put the item as 'disputed' and I need it to call the company charging me. Eventually I talked to somebody from Celebrity Tracking and they read the name of the person who had signed up my account (some girl I didn't know). They claimed they will give me credit in 2 months. In the meantime AT&T said not to pay the bill.
This should be illegal! How can they charge your account like that without verifying that the identity of the person signing up matches the account? Then we are burdened with fighting these charges. I really hope there is a class action lawsuit on this.

Same thing happened to us . .. billed by AT&T, called this Web Ecommerce and were told that we signed up when filling out a survey. The operator told us that they would credit our account and stop future billing, but I am pretty sure we will have to make another call. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the donotcall people.  What is really annoying is that AT&T does not recognize that these people are crooks. They just keep billing their customers. Makes us want to abandon the phone line altogether!

    Deathrite
we have had this happen to us. the way they do it is they use different billing companies each time you complain. its the same main company but the BILLING company is different. thats why ATT has problems with it. it seems to be a hole in the system that this place is exploiting. i will call ATT and discuss it with them. i also refuse to pay for something that we have canceled 4 times now.

    Wont git fooled agin
I had several charges on one phone bill that came to over $150 per month. I looked up the various billing organizations on google to get real phone numbers and got someone on the phone. Remember these creeps have to advertise to someone. Same script reading routine until I got very hostile and demanded that the charges be removed/credited. They relented, which indicates to me that these charges are scams. By the way, you can just pay the phone company charges and deduct the bogus charges from your payment. By fed law they can't shut off your phone service for non-payment of so-called "third-party" billings. ATT comes off looking as crooked as the scammers. They get a percentage so it's not in their interest to drop these charges. We had to fight for two days. Same thing a home phone also. ATT also tried to sell me internet service when all I wanted was a different line "provisioned" for internet service. Turns out my ISP could do this but ATT would not tell me that, they just tried to sell me their internet service. I got a modem in the mail and charges for $10 per month, FOR 10 MONTHS, began showing up on my ATT bill. $100 for a modem I wasn't using. THE MORAL: be vigilant and check all of your bills closely for bogus charges. Don't take this sort of treatment and spread the word: WE ARE NOT FOOLS OR SLAVES!!! THE QUESTION: where are the state legislators, public utilities commissions, and states attorneys general on this sort of thing? Viva la revolucione!

An unathurized $19.95 charge appeared on my April - June phone bills for WEB ECOMMERCE CO, INC - WEBHOST FEE.  When I called the 888 number to dispute the charge, the rep stated her company was only a billing service co. and I should all another number, which she provided.  I called the second number only to be told they were yet one more billing company for an ISP.  This rep exclaimed that I must have signed up for the service. Untrue.  At any rate, after much haggling, she agree to reverse the three months' charges.  I have  filed a complaint with AT&T and with my state's attorney general's office.  It worries me that this company had so much of my personal information, which I did not provide.

If you recieve an aunthorized charge such as this, please dispute it.  We can't let these people get away with unauthorized charges.

This company is setting up fraudulent accounts and lying about it. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau in San Jose, CA and taken down like the rabid vermon that they are.

    Alias:WEB ECOMMERCE CO, INC,Integretel,PaymentOne
    All the same co.

Who is hiding now biznitches??? Yo goin'down.

    Excerpt from:
    http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/214/RipOff0214954.htm

    Three Names, One Business Plan:
Integretel (found to have 'crammed' phone charges onto phone bill by the FTC) lists PaymentOne as its subsidiary. But there is no mention Integretel on the PaymentOne web site. But these two companies share the same street address (you have to look up the domain registration to get the business address for integretel since it is not on their site.), and have the same HR Department Fax number, and, not incidentally, they are in the exact same business.
The Billing Resource is a bit more challenging. They have an anonymous domain registration, but on weekends their automated phone mail anounces 'Integretel', and they also have the same fax number as the other two companies.
Further the TheBillingResource website is a word for word template copy of integretel and are using integretel's servers (same name server ns1.integretel.com). And yes they are in the same business.
    Okay. Enough private eye stuff.

Relying on the Honor of Theives:
No doubt PaymentOne's job of performing fraudulent billing on behalf of other companies is made much easier by the cozy relationship that PaymentOne/Integretel/The Billing Resource has with AT&T.
Look at the Payment One web site. Their VP of Telco billing solutions is a former ATT customer support executive. And they absolutely brag about their close relationship with AT&T.
So it is not surprising that AT&T consistently refuses to remove fraudulent charges from the bill from The Billing Resource or Integretel. They say that you must take the charges up with (in my case) The Billing Resource.
I called multiple times and waded through their tedious voice recognition prompts to get the the billing customer service. The reps just flatly refused to remove the charge
But wait, these are the people profiting form helping theives to rip me off, so by that logic, if I get robbed, then rather than report the robbery, you just need to ask the robber to give you back your cash. Law enforcement by the honors system.

Payment Processor with NO FRAUD DEPT:
I 'dicussed' my account with a young woman at Integretel/BillingResource/Nameoftheweek. I asked who to talk to about fraudulent billing. Huh? You have a fraud department. Every payment processor must have a fraud department - or it is just an open invitation to scammers.
The woman said 'we don't have a fraud department.' Whoa! send her back to training!

This company has no one on staff whose job is to look into fraudulent charges

Just imagine how much money a (purely hypothetical) payment processor could make by catering to the scam artist of the world. The scams are endless. But hey, that is just pure conjecture, right?

The charges on my ATT bill were in the $40 range, home and business. This is a huge scam and survives because the scammers are counting on your not looking at you bills closely. It also survives because ATT is in on the scam. It's very likely they collect a fee from these outfits so its in their interest to participate in the rip-off. It's interesting that when you call ATT they claim they can't do anything about the charges that show up on THEIR INVOICE. When pressed they will remove the current month's charges but you have to contact the scammers to have others removed. I did a google search and found out the rock these thieves are under. A real contact number that was listed. I got a live individual and told them the I had never signed up for this JUNK and that I wanted a refund NOW. They didn't even argue with me but I had to yell over the person on the other end of the phone because she would not get off the script. The fact that a I got it all back so easily indicates that it is a pretty flimsy scam and all you have to do is call and demand a refund. One of them actually sent me a check in the mail. I have one more charge to look after. By the way, I have it on good authority that you can't have your service cut off if you pay everything but the junk charges. So fight back and deduct them!!!
