Threatening phone calls to me my job and family from 8882476676

Told me this was my last chance to call them, it was a "legal" manner, threatened me, called my sister! Gave the name Amy Smith. It's a scam! Anyone with legit legal manner will contact you through your local athoritys, not by phone and threaten you! They also called by local area code numbers but, left this number for me to call them back. There local number they use was 423-218-1273(they called my sis on) and 865-248-6158 that they called me from.

Some [***] screaming BS into my voicemail to "try" to sound legal and intimidating.  Looking for a debt my ex husband owes.

This company uses multiple VOIP numbers.. Here are some more.

A true debt collector would provide you with the name and address of their business. Not sure what they profit from just blasting in someones ears. Under the FDCPA they must reveal to you the following information:
1. The name of their company
2. The name of their address
3. Who they are collecting for, or who the original creditor was.

By claiming to file a lawsuit,. which their exact verbiage is they need to verify your address to file a claim. Which is a violation of the FDCPA. If a company is going to file a lawsuit against you they cannot use it as a means to intimidate you.
Just hang up on them and block their numbers. We have located their VOIP Provider and are in the process of requesting company information. One of the VOIP companies they use is Level 3. http://www.level3.com.

Capital Harris Miller & Associates, is the name they are using. They are registered in the State of Illinois as CHM Capital Group, LLC using the assumed name Capital Harris Miller & Associates. If you receive a call from them, claiming they have charges pending against you write them a certified letter with return receipt. to their business address at:
