Calls w/o leaving a message. I finally took the time to call them back. It turned out to be a security company. The guy claimed I "expressed interest in their products" through a website, and this is the reason they call. I know I didn't do that.

Asked them to put my number on their do not call list. Hope it will help.

They have called me 10 times in the last two days. There should be law against telemarketers calling cell phones.

Same here you would think after not receiving a call back they would get the message. This time when I reviewed the message you could hear males in the background shouting "Yeah baby" they must have opened an account.

This is Protect America. I called and found out for you.

I have received calls, on my cellphone, from this number without any solicitation.  They are without a nuisance.

Thank you! I called back and sure enough it is Protect America. They offered to put me on the do not call list and were polite.

No message is left. There have been about 6 calls yesterday and two so far today.

When my secretary asks them why they are calling, they can't give a good explaination and they hang up.  We did "star 69" to get the number.  I called them and asked if they would please remove my numbers and not call anymore.  They were polite and readily agreed to put my numbers on their  do not call list.  Hope it works.

Protect America called here and, since I sell Home security systems, I KNOW I didn't contact them for product.

I received 4 calls in one day from "Protect America", they asked for someone I do not even know.  At one point the guy (who for some reason always sounded like the same person!) asked me if I lived in a particular town, they were completely wrong.  I copied the following directly from my phone activity log.

The real kicker, I registered my phone number on the Federal (and State) Do Not Call list.

yes ...its a home security company and they ve called me 9 times in juss 2 days !!!!

I got a call from them also twice and hung up on them. I never registered on any website. I received a vioce mail from a male, calling me an mother fu--er, and a few other choice words. I have recorded it and sent it to the BBB. I hope no one else gets this service..

i got a call 11 times in juss few days ...they juss stop calling even if u dont answer...creepy lames !!!

I wish they would stop calling since I pay by the minute for my cell phone.  I have called back and have never receieved no answer.
Telemarkers should not be able to call cell phones.

I get the same calls for the past two weeks, at least ten times a day, starting at 9 in the morning all the way to 12 at night...it's very annoying! I can't answer it, because my mom (I'm still a teenager) told me it not to...i want to tell them to put me on the do not call list...oh well...Oh! and i also get calls from SOMEONE that does the star 69 thing, but it may have nothing to do with this...

We just got a call from them. They insisted that my wife had sent in our address and number, but I *know* that she didn't. We don't need a security system - we already have one. I told them to remove our number and to not call again.

Have been getting calls from these guys, too.  I finally called them back today & told them to put me on their do not call list - got the same story as everyone else that I had requested them to call me which I did not do. I got 3 more calls from them after that - I turned them in to the National Do Not Call Registry @ www.donotcall.gov.  Hope that will help.

Anytime you enter a sweepstakes, drawing or do something online make sure you read the fine print. Many times you are giving a company permission to call you. I dont know if that is the case with this caller. However, even if they did get permission (intended or not) they cant call before 8am or after 9pm your local time. Go a step further than the No-call list and file a complaint with the FTC and your state's agency that deals with telemarketing. Since the No-call law was passed telemarketers have found many inventive ways to circumvent the law. Thus you must also be clever in order to keep them from calling. Complain to every agency you can think of, write letters, write Congress. Also remember this easy yet effective tactic: when someone you dont know calls, answer it and when you know its a sales pitch just set down down the phone and ignore them until they hangup. A minor annoyance for you but remember THEY are paying for the call so the more minutes you waste the more it costs them!
